Have I Done the Right thing?

I've changed my package once again, I had called the TA and was asking about the dining plan. Well we had a 3 night stay at WL and a 3 night stay at Poly the package alone was over $2700. Well to add the dining it would have been around $3200. Well she was telling me that she really loves POR and some ladies I work with swear by this resort. So I changed my package to Port Orleans Riverside with a waterview room for 6 nights and 7 days with dining also with travel ins for less than $2500. Was this the right thing to do?

Please tell me we'll love this resort. I know it's not Poly or WL but isn't it great?

We stayed at POR last Oct and absolutely loved it. It has a great theme and lots to do. The boat to DDD was fun for all. The food court was good and so was Boatwrights. My kids (then 8,4,18m) loved it too even though it didn't shout Disney. I think you'll love it too. We're trying the WL for this Oct because my boys saw the Travel channel special on it and begged us to stay there this time. I don't think you'll be disappointed with POR.

I think you made the right choice...POR is very nicely themed and I'm sure you will enjoy it! I am going this summer and staying at the Carribbean Beach with dining, also. The dining plan is a great thng to have!

You definately did the right thing! I am already planning for a return stay at POR next year. We had so much fun in May 2004 that we are returning and staying an additional 2 or 3 nights because the resort is so nice, we wanted more time to relax and have fun there. Maybe you should consider an additional night or 2 since you are saving so much. The nice thing about the Magic your Way tickets, is that after 7 days, they are just an additional $5-10 per day after.

You did the right thing. PORS is great and think of all the money you are saving. Think of what you can do with that exta money?

PORS is very nice, besides it is going to be eaiser not to have to swicth rooms. All mods have refridgetors in the room now, but with the meal package that won't mater as much. Get some bottled water though and some snacks!

Have a great trip. We will be back at PORS in 36 days, I haven't stayed there since it was Dixilandings back in 2000.

I think you made a good choice. We made a similar decision this year for our April trip. We had been planning to stay at WL, but by switching to POR, we got our food for the trip essentially for free! It's hard to ignore the MYW dining plan!

We have stayed at both resorts before, and WL is absolutely beautiful, but we also love POR, and there isn't really all that much difference between the two resorts.

I think you made the right choice... you'll have a better vacation if you're spending within your comfort level. Splurge on souviners... or a massage!

When we had my extravagant birthday trip in 04, POR was the resort for me. I do love the southern landscaping, and the POR pool and slide actually seem nicer to me than the Poly volcano pool. Plus POR has a hot tub! I really miss that at the Poly or even at Pop, the only value I've ever stayed at. (Guess I'm a hot tub snob )

Another thing you may want to consider in order to save some more $$ is to not get the waterview. Since all rooms open to walk ways, the waterview is not what it would be from a room that does not have anything in front of it.
