I always see Mac or others discussed.....should I go out and buy a different stroller and not use the one I already have? Why or why not? Any suggestions would be helpful. :sunny:

I have a Graco Metrolite which I love. DS will be almost 2 next summer when we go to WDW. I planned to use it since he is comfortable in it. I bought an extended shade for it from One Step Ahead. Is there a reason I might not want to use mine?

I had a graco metro lite for DS #1 from birth until about age 3. I thought it was a great stoller - took it to WDW two times, DH had no problems with getting it on/off the buses. It wasn't until DS #2 came along that I got my 1st mac (after I learned a hard lesson with a Combi Twin Savvy...but that is a story for another thread). Macs are great, IMO, because they have a higher weight limit and accomodate my larger children very well.

But, I think you'll be fine with the graco and if you like it then there is no reason to switch.

Enjoy your trip!

I've been the poster of several of the recent Mac threads!!

I started w/ the Graco Metrolite, took it WDW w/ DS and liked it a lot. Over the years you just learn of the lighter strollers and get hooked. :goodvibes The next trip I bought the Graco Citilite (they don't make anymore).

The Metro was fine and we were used to it and no problem on busses ets. Baby was very comfy.

We just have 2 kids now and a big double is out of the question so we are going w 2 lightweight umbrella fold Macs. My kids are 95% percentile kids so I need a stroller that has the highest wt limit and that's the Macs. DS4 just had his b-day and has been 42lbs for a couple months. He's technically over the weight limits on many strollers. I believe the Graco officially say 40lbs (not sure).

Save your money and go with what you have.

Thank you for your advice. I will use what I have and see if I like it for WDW.

I will remember to look at the Mac when I decide it's time for a new one. Thanks again!! :sunny:

we had a Graco metrolite and now we have a maclaren triumph. the triumph is more of an umbrella stroller, so i don't think it's a direct comparison. still, now that we have the maclaren, we really never use the Graco (or our other umbrella stroller, a Chicco) I really disliked lots of things about the Graco -- i didn't like the way it folded, i didn't like the way it reclined (actually, maybe it was the opposite problem -- i thought it never seemed like it was fully upright), and it was difficult to get into the basket if the seat was at all reclined. I *did* like having a tray for my daughter, but that was about it.

since both of our daughters are fairly young, though (3 and 17 months), we will be taking our Graco Duoglider w/us. We have no choice, b/c they both will get tired of walking at some point.
