It's a good perk! When we went there was no one there but us. You go to the entrance of the restaurant and they check that you have a Visa and then take you down the stairs inside. We saw Pluto and Mickey!! Hard to see Mickey anywhere else unless you want to wait in the line at his house in toontown or happen to catch him at Main Street. Also heard Chip and Dale may be there.

The first time the CM looked at our visa and gave us 2 coupons. The next time we only got one coupon. The funny part was that we did not go back to pick up the first pictures in time (24 hours?) so I said lets just go and do the pics again. Then we decided to just check and see and they still had the pictures in the system so we got 3! I think the value was around $30!! Other people said you can use the coupons anywhere for any picture you want but we never tried. Really it is kind of a pain because you have to go to CA by 11:30 and most mornings we like to do DL and then go over to CA later in the day if DL gets crowded. I think it is expiring soon though, Sept. 30? I guess check the visa web site for the date.

Also love the free stroller rentals! My dd is 6 so she doesn't need a stroller but if we wanted to keep going and she was too tired, we just grabbed her a stroller and it let us extend the time!

:thumbsup2 I just recieved my bill and we have earned 5o points!! I purchased windows 3 weeks ago and used my card, I then promptly paid my bill the same day! :cheer2: Also I rented strollers for free all 6 days I was there, thats $14.00 a day for free!! :teeth:

Okay, I have to admit, I love it! I made sure to order an extra card for DH and uses it for everything. Getting money on that rewards card is like free money to me!! When we went in June, I loaded up the card before we left., spent all that and while we were on the trip, the billing period was up so I called again on Sat morning and filled it up again and we all went to PP for Lilo and Stitch "for free"! I love that but we will stop using it when all the perks expire simply because we only have one more trip in Nov scheduled and Discover card gives us "real" cash!

My understanding is you can use the benefit once a day. So if you're at the park for four days, you can get four pictures, one each day.

I haven't done this at DL yet (but I will in September), but I did it at WDW in January. It was nice because you're in the room with the characters alone and they took a ton of pictures. When you get your picture they will add graphics to it if you want. I had a picture with Minnie and Goofy and they added their electronic autographs. I think this is a great perk.

I've done this twice. :) First time in March, we were the only ones there! We saw Chip and Dale and they spent lots of time with us! It was great! :thumbsup2

Second time was in May. We were not the only ones there then, but it was still fun. Saw Mickey and Goofy this time. :)

I heard, but don't know for sure, that Chip/Dale and Mickey/Goofy switch off every half an hour or maybe it's an hour. I believe these are the only 4 characters available for this meet and greet.

Do you need to book with your Visa to use these or do you just show your Visa card to do the meet and greet? What about the stroller rental? Do you just show your card or do you need a voucher or something? If your spouse has a card too (same account) can you each show your card for 2 pictures?

Sorry for so many questions, but this sounds like a neat perk! Any others?

You just show up at the podium, tell them you're there for the Disney Visa meet and greet. They will direct you down the winding staircase (very cool!) where the characters are. There you show your Visa card to the cast member and they give you a voucher for a free picture.

As far as your spouse having a card with the same account #, I've heard that sometimes they'll give you two vouchers and sometimes they won't. Guess it depends on the cast member you get. :confused3

It's a very cool perk. We went this week and we were also the only ones there. It's not something they advertise with signs or anything. I knew it was over by Ariels Grotto, but I didn't know it was in there down stairs. DH had to ask and then they led us down there.

We got Goofy and Mickey. Goofy was in his bathing suit! LOL They spent quite a bit of time with our son. And then they took the professional pics. And we got a 5X7 free. I was glad we did it, beats standing in long lines to see them, and it was a much more private and personal meet and greet then what we get elsewhere in the park.

I was on my own before (my friend was in a no picture mood), do they allow you to take pics with your own camera as well?

We did this in May and it was great. Mickey, Goofy and Max spent 10 mins with us. We took lots of pics and video on our own there too.

Yes I took a few pictures with my own camera too. With them just interacting with my DS, and when they were taking the pro pics too.
