My best friend and I (both 20 year olds) are going to the World from 8/14 to 8/19 and staying at the CSR. We have 4 day PH with dining tickets and we have NO IDEA where to eat. Is it too late to get reservations at places? Please offer some suggestions (or a website to use a resource) of places to eat.
Also, how in the world do you make reservations so far in advance? How do you know where you're going to be and when you should eat? Do you plan everything out first and then make the ADRs or do you mae them and plan around them?

Even though your trip is very close, I'm sure you can still get some ADRs. Just make sure to be open to eating at some times that are earlier or later than you might be used to eating. It's hard to recommend certain restaurants given such a broad request, so a great idea for you to check out the menus at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm. this site offers great menus for all the restaurants at Disney World. Find a few that you like, and then see what you can get a reservation at.

I've just made my ADRs for our Christmas trip, and I used the park hours and list of extra magic hours on Disney's website to broadly plan where we expect to be each day. Then, I chose restaurants that fit in well with the parks for each day. I think it's generally easier to do it this way, since you are able to just put meals right into your daily plan, instead of planning the entire day around the meal.

:welcome:

You have managed to find a website with a multitude of information!! Please check over the dining section for reviews of restaurants, etc.

Since you asked, another wonderful website with menus of all WDW restaurants can be found here...http://www.allearsnet.com/

Just go to the dining section, menus, and then they are all listed by resort or park. You have the dining plan, so you don't need to worry about the prices!

To answer your question, yes, many of us DO plan our meals 180 days before our trips. Sounds ridiculous, I know  . Disney has become so popular that finding tables at the most popular restaurants is becoming as competitive as riding the most popular attractions!! There really are restaurants that will please anyone's palette. EPCOT probably has the most varied selections within it's world showcase. Some gems can be found in the resorts (yes, you can eat there even if you're a guest elsewhere!) I would suggest you start by reading reviews of restaurants on this board and then check out the menus on the above posed site. And being the obsessive planner, I would suggest you make a list of your favorites and then CALL Disney Dining ASAP to make your ADR's. How sad it would be to have the dining plan and be unable to use the credits because everything is booked! :confused3

Enjoy the planning!! It can be almost as much fun as the actual vacation!!
