Have been planning to just do Disney...can I make WWoHP work for me?

Ideally I'd love to take a separate trip with other HP fans, but hubby wants me to somehow find a way to work it in while we're already down in Orlando in November.

I know there is plenty for my kids 6, 4, and 2 to do at Universal, but do I WANT to spend $300-$400 for just tickets??? Not to mention, we weren't planning to rent a car and aren't bringing car seats and how would we get there from POFQ???

Hubby is proposing just me heading over there one night after the kids are in bed in our hotel??? I'm mainly interested in WWoHP...how much time would it take a relatively big fan to wander through it all? I'd hate to bring my whole family and have my husband insisting I meet them back at such and such a time and then being all uptight because he's had all 3 small kids by himself for several hours (or whatever).

What do I do?

That's probably not going to work. The Universal parks are not open that late in the off-season.

I'd leave out HP this trip. I would not want to deal with a grumpy daddy who had the 3 kids by himself. :rolleyes1

I have never been to Universal and am trying to plan for it also for my next trip. From what I have read, IF you decide to do it, I think you would be better to get there first thing when they open. Maybe DH can have a character meal scheduled, so the kids will be busy also.

If you go to Dreams Unlimited (there is a link on this website) you will find they offer a package that includes Mears transportation to and from US/ plus a 1 day park to park ticket for $114 per adult and $111 per child (3-9). They will pick you up at your Disney Hotel. It is possible for you to make arrangements for yourself to go over and stay through Park closing so that you can see HP. You know your DH/kids best and will know if this will work for you. Maybe you can set them up with something special to do that day, giving the kids "daddy time", leaving you free to have your own day. If this is something you want to do, you certainly can make it work! Another idea would be to see how late IOA is open that night, and make arrangements for your kids to stay with a hotel sitter, then you and your hubby puchase a 1 day IOA entrance pass only for $85 ea and just go over and check out HP. A cab will run approx. $25 each way. This will cost you more, but you could consider it a "date".

The park probably closes at 6 or 7 at the latest, so unless your kiddies go to bed really, really early....
