Have AP + WP/Sports, need separate ticket for ESPN Complex Event?

Hi,

I have a Pixie Dust Pass with the Water Park and Sport Option add-on. We are planning on attending an upcoming Cheer competition held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Does anyone know if I need to purchase a separate special ticket for the event?

The Cheer competition website says a ticket is needed and there is a link that takes me to the DisneyWorld ticket site to purchase ESPN Wide World of Sports Single Day Tickets for $37.56/person. I’m wondering if this is a “special” ticket specifically for the Cheer event or just a regular ESPN day ticket that my Pixie Pass + already includes.

Yes, for specific events, you need a separate ticket. Your pass will not get you in.

I think that is the price for the Cheer competition, not the base ESPN WWoS entry. I looked at tickets for a Girls Soccer event coming soon and that is $19-some. You’ll need to buy the Cheer ticket.

Not sure if this helps, but my son is competing in the Coed division of the National Championship in Feb. I emailed varsity about this and they told me tickets for the event would be available 2 weeks before the event.
