Just wondered if any of the Disney hotels had given anyone any Pixie dust or done anything to your room? If so what hotel was it? :wizard:

It wasn't too much, but they gave us a small upgrade. We stayed at the WL and booked the standard view. They upgraded us to a wooded view. It was actually very nice.

Oh, I also want to add that we asked for the upgrade.

You should read Summer's TR!!! She ended up being pixied all over the place!!! It makes you feel so happy for her just reading about all the nice things CM's did!

...except that when you don't get pixie dust like Summer's, it can be VERY depressing....:rotfl:

We had a great trip and got plenty of pixie dust, but I had my heart set on an upgrade to a Turret Suite at the Grand Floridian, and boy was I disappointed!

I forgot that you have to go into it not expecting ANY pixie dust, cuz that way you can't be disappointed - and you will be that much more surprised if you do get some! :thumbsup2

My advice...go there not expecting it because I think if you do it won't happen. Just let it happen :)

Tim and I were very fortunate to have had a lot of pixie dust on our honeymoon. I wish you and your soon to be husband the same :)

No pixie dust for us. We didn't even get our requested king size bed and spent our wedding trip with two doubles. :upsidedow

We did get toasting flutes at Cinderella's Royal Table, and some free chocolate covered strawberries, though. Of course, we only wore small pins (the collectible pins with the wedding Mickey and Minnie) rather than the big "just married" pins. And no wedding ears or matching t-shirts. So we really didn't advertise... I'm not big on a lot of attention...

On that note, there was another couple at our hotel who had the buttons (2 each, one on their shirts on one on their bags), matching shirts for EACH DAY, and the ears - all at once. We would see them every morning. I gotta admit, I thought they looked a little silly... :lmao: My DH would always ask, "Gee, I wonder if they're celebrating something?"

I do not think I could handle being that matchy matchy. One day ok, but everyday, no thanks.

I got some major pixie dust, to the tune of over $1000! I booked the Sonoma Room (at the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort) because of the two private rooms available it was the one with the smaller food and drink minimum. It was $2000 as opposed to $3000 for the Napa Room. The Sonoma Room overlooks a lake, whereas the Napa Room overlooks the Magic Kingdom and has access to the deck and is a larger room. I had stayed very close to the minimum: $2005. But when we got there we were led to the Napa Room. Obviously it was because no one else had booked the Napa Room on that night (it was a Wednesday), but we were immensely grateful to be given that bonus. The servers also saw that the 5 kids were running around and gave them dozens of coloring sheets and crayons to occupy them.

The 16 of us wore matching tshirts on 3 of the days. We didn't get any bonuses, but a lot of people complimented them and that made the kids feel really good.
