Have any ladies worn the Crocs Patricia shoes in the park?

These?

I'm trying to pick a pair of shoes for our trip. I can't STAND wearing tennis shoes all day (too confining) plus I couldn't handle the wet shoes/socks from thunderstorms or water rides. Ick. I also can't handle anything between my toes and I'd prefer nothing touching my heel. So these seem like they would fit the bill.

My concern is when my feet get wet will they slide around in the shoes. I bought a pair of bare trap sandals last year for a different vacation and they are SO comfy. However in the rain I found my feet slid around scarily, so they are out for WDW.

So has anyone tried these and how did they work? Did they ever get wet and how did that work? Do you know of any other shoes that might work for me? I am picky, I will admit. Especially when it comes to my clothes/footwear, I can't stand anything at all confining or uncomfortable. I might have some issues.:rotfl:

I cannot stop singing the praises of the Skecher GoWalk shoes, but they don't really fill your requirements.

I've not worn the patricia style crocs you linked, but I have worn regular crocs and have felt like my foot slips around in them when they are wet. Definitely makes me walk slower and with more caution in wet weather.

I have worn various Crocs and they have their pros and cons.

I find them to be supportive with a nice cushion, however some styles have a textured sole that over several hours can cause blistering. Also, if your feet sweat a lot or of if you get wet a lot, the plastic can rub against your skin and chafe.

The strappy styled sandals like the Patricia are better, because there's more breathing room and less plastic touching your foot. It's a good idea to bring mole skin or band-aids just in case.

I considered those but do you wear socks with them? Between that and getting wet and the heel part potentially rubbing, I'm a bit concerned.

But I also don't want to worry about slipping around in my shoes lol.

I wore the original Crocs on our last trip in 06. I still ended up with a small blister or two, I can't remember where though. I couldn't tell you if I slipped in them as we only had one day where it rained while in the parks. It didn't rain very much at all on that trip, I think only twice which I found very odd.

I own a pair of the Patricia crocs. I have never worn them to the parks I. Wore them in the hotel room. I have worn other croc styles to the parks. I do agree with a previous poster that on a hot sweaty days a blister can form on long strenuous walks. One thing to consider, crocs can be slippery in wet weather but the pro is they can be quickly dried with napkins

I have 2 pairs of Keens and usually wear them to the parks. I did get a blister once but that was a very hot day and I was walking very quickly following DH. I'm a short person. One thing that may help is putting powder on your feet. Try to keep them dry. That applies to any open shoe. Bring moleskin and band aids

Also just try as many different styles at the store. I tried the Sketchers Go Walks and they're heavenly. A girl can't have enough shoes.

I owned a pr of I believe this style at one time. I found they ran NARROW and rubbed a blister on my lil toe after just a short in and out of car to grocery store type run. My feet slip in all my crocs to some extent with wetness but nothing super annoying. If it wasn't for the narrowness/rubbing I'd have loved them

I have worn the Crocs Kaydee style all over DLR for days. They are more closed in but I do not have a problem with my feet getting hot. I never got any blisters or sore feet. That said, it doesn't rain at DLR in the summer so I haven't actually tried walking for hours in the rain. I think I will bring these with me though and see how it goes. I have tennis shoes that are no where near as comfortable as these are.

I own a pair, but opted out of them for the park days because the height of the heel added a bit of extra stain on my knees. I have worn the Sanrah sandals all day in the parks with good success. I alternated those with the Sketchers Go Walks which I paired with wool socks. My feet were not really hot or wet because the shoes and socks both breathed really well.

The one thing that I caution about Crocs is that it seems like they are getting firmer (which I don't like). My older Sarah & Patricia sandals came much much softer than the brand new ones that I just tried on. I even had Crocs replace one pair because I thought there was something wrong since they were not softening up at all.

I slide around when wet in the wider crocs (clog style) but can't wear the model you are trying because they are too narrow for me. I like Birkenstocks - the shaped foot bed is supportive and comfortable and helps me stay in the shoes even though they have plenty of toe-wiggling breathing room.
Whatever you decide, break in the shoes. No matter how comfy they are at home, the intensity of WDW will test the shoes and your feet. I would "hike" a minimum of 5 miles at a time in any shoes you consider taking to WDW.

Ok, now you all have me convinced to maybe try the Go Walks. I've read that they dry quickly so that's good. However when I look online there seem to be many versions. Spark, SuperShock, Hyper etc. Does anyone know if there are any real differences?

Does anyone ever wear them without socks?

I have a similar pair as the ones you showed. They are the Patricia II wedged sandal (they have a strap around the heel). I wear them everywhere and love them because they are so comfy. However, when DH and I decided to do an adults only weekend trip, I figured I would just wear them because I never had a problem before. Well the problem came when Tropical Storm Debbie hit and I was sloshing around in those shoes. I got bad blisters on my feet and had to buy Disney gym shoes because I needed more support since we were doing the KTTK Tour the next day. Don't get me wrong, I still bring my sandals with us when we travel, but I do not wear them in the parks, I save them for when we are going to DTD or doing something that requires us to not be in the parks. My park shoes are my Sketchers gym shoes.

I think we may have the same shoe "issues". I love my Croc Cleo's, but not the Cleo II. I hate heel straps, anything between my toes or too many straps across my foot. Actually, the Cleo's are as close as I can come to barefoot. They are a little slippery when wet but they dry quickly. My feet and legs are tired at the end of the day but so are everyone else's.

I wear the Crocs Sanrah all day, every day in the parks. I hate tennis shoes for the same reasons mentioned...hot and wet socks are a no go. The Sanrahs don't have anything between the toe and were not too tight. Dry quickly. Love them.

I wear my crocband flats all summer here in Chicago when it's HOT. I walk almost 8 miles a day and I'm fine. I like these shoes because they are very cute, no one guesses they are crocs!

But yes, they are slippery on wet surfaces! Be careful.

Wow, i thought i was the only one who hated the feeling of tennis shoes and socks. So confining! I am planning to wear my croc flats sandals too. I walk 5+ miles a day in them and they are always good. I have two slightly different styles that I'm alternating between. I never thoroughly about the wetness factor though. I have tried on the sketchers go and wonder how they would wear without socks? Anyone else try them sock-less?

I have three pairs of GoWalks. One pair is a ballet slipper type that I never wear with socks, and the other two are sneaker style that I wear with or without socks. I have never had trouble with blisters when I wear them with or without socks. Like any shoe, though, you should break them in before hitting the parks.

They are very light weight and made of flexible materials, very easily hand- or machine-washed, but I cannot say that they dry quickly. If you get them wet, they'll be wet for the rest of the afternoon, so that's something to keep in mind.
