I'm going to try and make this brief, but I do need to provide a little background.
We have a couple days reserved at BLT for June, 2010 using our 2009 points (the remaining points - - about 180 - - have been banked for 2009). Instead of going in June, 2010, we have decided that we want to go in December, 2010, and are planning on calling in January, 2010 (when our 11 window opens) to book our December, 2010 trip. We will be using our banked 2009 points, current 2010 points, and about 40 borrowered 2011 points for this trip. We have a February UY if that matters...
My question is this: when MS cancels my June, 2010 trip (which I'm planning on doing when I call in January, 2010), are those points going to go into the "pot" for use for the December, 2010 trip, or am I going to lose them? Is there any other concern that I need to be aware of in this scenario?
This will be our first "true" DVC trip and because we'll be traveling in the peakest of peak seasons, I just want to make sure I'm aware of any potential issues before I make the call. Thank you so much for your input.
