Have a second interview/ need advice please

Yahoo!!! I have a second interview for my first teaching position. I have been told that this interview will be with the district's superintendent.

While I have many, many questions, I am not sure what type of questions to ask a person in this position. My million and one questions pertain mostly to procedures, curriculum, etc....more specific to my classroom/school I MAY be hired for.

Any suggestions as to what type of questions are appropriate to ask a superintendent? I really want to be prepared with a small list before the interview.

Congrats on your second interview! I always hate that "do you have any questions for us?" part of an interview. It's hard because you don't want to sound ignorant!

How about asking something about the district's gifted programs, since that is something that varies greatly by district? Or maybe a specific interest you have like team teaching, multilevel teaching or music (or economics, foreign language etc.) in the classroom - something that actually points out a skill that you have.

When I got my first job I knew very little about the district I was applying to. While waiting for an interview I scanned some literature I found in the lobby. During my interview I asked a question about their gifted program using the name I saw in the phamplet (I think it was "quest"). I was told later they were impressed that I had researched their programs - LOL.

I would think you would want to concentrate on questions at his level. He many not know what the policies and procedures are for a classroom and you don't want to put him on the spot. At his level he probably deals with the general vision for the gifted program.
