I just made a PS for 1900 Park Fare for Friday, Oct. 24.

What is this buffet like?

The PS is for 6:50 pm. We will eat and immediately return to VWL to go to bed-DH has a race the next day and has to get up at 5am.

What has been your experience with this restaurant? Are PS's usually on time? Should we plan on waiting somewhat of a long time before we are seated?

Do you think there is a chance that they will not offer pasta?

If you have had the pasta, is it good?

Thanks in advance for any information. :D

We ate there a couple weeks ago. It's very good. We were seated within five minutes of getting there. They ahve a pasta station, small but adequate. Keep in mind that he can get his carb load from rice and potatoes as well :)

The menu is varied and everything is really good, the dessert bar is excellent!

ducklite,

Did they have potatoes and rice?

I've really had a hard time figuring out where to eat that night. I realize I could just cook all of this in our villa but I don't want to.
:D

By the way,

I cleared out my PM box

Thanks for the info. I think we will really enjoy it.

Defintely potatos. Not sure about the rice. We went to Mama Melroses before the marathon last year, great food and lots of carbs :)

I never thought about Mama Melroses. We will definately have to try that at some date. I think if we were staying a little closer to it we would definately eat there.

Thanks for the info.

Just did 1900 Park Fare last week for dinner.
We had a nice time.
We were seated right away for our 5:30 PS. It was pretty empty at that time and but did fill up by the time we left. So you might have a wait for the time you are going. I remember when we left the lobby was pretty full. There is a place in the restuarant lobby where the kids can color and the Fairy Godmother sits out there.
The food was very good-nice salad bar area. I enjoyed the Prime Rib. They didnt have normal mashed potatoes but did have tasyyl sweet potato mash. I dont remeber any rice.

We were at 1900 past May. I do remember steamed white rice. I think it was on the left side of the buffet, just down to the right of the strawberry soup (do not miss this.....very yummy!)

We ate there in July and we have eaten there in the past. I thought there was a much smaller selection of food and desserts than before.
