When we were there a couple of years ago, there was not a photographer at the tea itself, though they did have someone take pic of the girls afterward. Has this changed? Does a photographer take pics during the tea party now?

It looks like they could have a photographer at the tea. My DDs did the perfectly princess tea party with grandma last week. There are 4 pictures in our MM account from that.

We haven't purchased Memory Maker because we'll bring our own camera and I know I can ask the Photographers to take pictures of us with that camera.

But what if there are some pictures I would like to have. Like magic shots or ride photos. Can I just collect those pictures with my Magic Band and decide later if I want to buy/download them?
Can I buy pictures individually and is it worth it?

Yes, you can, but they cost $15 each.

You can but watch the costs. At $15 a pic it doesn't take long to have spent the amount you'd spend if you pre-ordered the Archive Disk ($119) or the full shebang, MM ($149). If you want just 1-2, and know you will stick to 1 or 2 then al a carte will sure work well. Start getting close to double digits and you'll spend way more

After reading thru 25 pages of posts, I'm still a little confused.

We're doing a split-stay and starting at Shades of Green before moving to the Wilderness Lodge (so we have Magic Bands). If we purchase MM, will it work ok while we're at SoG or not until we move over?

I'm sure this has been asked already, but I'm looking for a little more clarification. My kids like all of the thrill rides, but I don't. Will my daughter have to take my band with her on the ride to link her photo, do I have to be at the exit when she gets off to link the photo or does it automatically link to her band?

I hope those questions made sense. Thanks for the help!

Will you receive your magic bands before your trip? From my knowledge Shades of Green does not use them so you may not have them at all until you move to Wilderness Lodge. If you get the bands in advance and they are activated, then yes you can use them. If not, you may receive a white card that works exactly the same way. Also, since I assume you are all linked together, your daughter can use her band on rides. I believe that recently they added a feature so the photo should automatically link to everyone's bands as they go on the ride.

I received our MBs, and also MM cards?
I'm confused, I thought the MM was loaded onto the bands or doesn't this happen until we actually check-in to WLR?

Yes, we already received our bands in the mail. You've put my mind at ease, but I may call just to make sure since we're starting at Shades.

I am so disappointed to hear that the PhotoPass pics will no longer be included anymore at the restaurants!!! Since they used to be included as part of the meal, I wonder if that means the price of the food will be going down? (LOL, I wish!)

The picture itself is still taken. The print of the picture is not done

This is true. We just returned on Tuesday and this is the way it worked. However, it is not foolproof. I would recommend taking a picture of your photo on the screen and make sure it includes the photo number. Two of our ride photos were missing (one still is!) but having the photo number was a help to the photopass personnel when trying to find it.

When I called to purchase tickets for the Villains Unleashed party, the CM asked me if I had purchased MM yet, and encouraged me to do so because they would be doing "character ride-along" photos at the party. Any idea what that actually means? I am assuming it could only be ToT and RnR, but if it is more than that I am really interested...

I bet they are magic shots. They do them with the Ghosts at MK during MNSSHP, don't they? Where it looks like they are in the car with you? Or am I imagining things?

I guess it's possible. I know the rumor has been that they would take a picture on the Haunted Mansion and a ghost would be in the seat with you. However, think of the Rockin Roller coaster layout. There are two people in each row. Where would they put their character? I'm thinking the cast member misspoke and is talking about all the new and rare characters who will be out for the party. You will want to get those photos if you are really into characters.
