This resort looks amazing but $$$!!! We were looking for a 3 bedroom but it may be possible for us to do a 2 bedroom here. Can anyone verify if the 2 bedroom has a King in the Master Bedroom and a King with a sofabed in the 2nd bedroom. Also, is there a stand alone shower in the Master Bath or is it a tub with a shower? I know there's a whirlpool tub in the master bath. Did they offer any discount for this resort? Right now the rate is $239 a night for a 2 bedroom.

Thanks - Christine :)

I can help you :D

Ok, the 2 BR unit we stayed in was a 1 BR villa with a lockoff studio with a king bed, bathroom, kitchenette, tv and sofa bed, seating area and coffee table as the 2nd bedroom.

The main villa had a king bed, tv, whirlpool tub in the master and a mirror/vanity. The adjoining bath had 2 double sinks, toilet and stand alone glass shower (the water pressure was awesome). Of course it also included a full kitchen, washer/dryer, balcony, dining for 8 and living room w/tv.

I don't know if they all are lockoffs, but I get the impression that they are.

Best way to get a good rate is thru an owner: www.tug2.net

Good luck!

Hi Lorix2,

I think you have answered all my threads :) Thank you so much for the info. I think a 2 bedroom will suit our needs just fine and that will help out on justifing the cost vs staying in a 3 bedroom at Wyndham Palms or Imperial Palms. I would love to find a discount code as well. We are Marriott reward members & belong to the AAA. My parents belong to AARP. Nothing is working!! I looked at Tug and there isn't anything :( But, I will keep checking.

Does anyone know if there's ever discount codes for Grande Vista? What would be a good price for a 2 bedroom?
We've been considering buying into a Timeshare. Do you think they would give us a better rate if we did the TimeShare presentation? Who would we contact for that?

Thanks everyone!! I think I've hit WDW planning overload for today!! LOL!!

:happy1:

Yes, Lorix2 and I are following you!!!

In the thread about 3 bedrooms I posted about the current promotion Grand Vista has going. Let me know what you find out!

the second bedroom has a king and a queen sleeper sofa.

do any of your relatives or friends belong to II (Interval International) - they get 12 getaways per year with it - Marriott has only listing until May (they have not release the rest of the year) - they don't release alot in the summer - Sept - Nov - they do (or did last year).

I just noticed your response to this thread, RE the Interval member getaways. I have been looking August on for getaways for either MGvista or The villas at Doral. Are you saying they may release some later, that they just haven't yet?

yes - Marriott is being kinda of slow this year in releasing them to II - when they do - it is a mass - and they go pretty quickly - they haven't even release the later part of May. Of course since they are offering bargin to the general public they might not put in as many this year as they would normal.

I am not counting the exchanges - II must receive those - I am talking about the space banking that Marriott has done each year of Grande Vista.

the price varies with the season and what size villa you get.

Probably around $749 - $949 for a 2-bedroom and yes it is for the entire week.

for your August dates just kept checking. Also check with tug on the Marriott site. Also check around your date - if September shows up - then they either had none for August or they didn't use II.

Last year I got the Grand Ocean Resort at HH in Nov for $299 - unbelieveable - it was great!!!! with taxes I think the price was around $323. thanks to a tip on tug!

price were wrong

try $699 (some of the prices for April) to $849 (when they first come on II).

I thought of a few more questions  .

Do they have daily maid service?

Do they have a shuttle to / from the airport? (We're traveling with my parents. We plan on renting a van but we don't think we can fit everyone plus all our luggage to and from the airport).

Has anyone golfed 9 holes there and how much did it cost to play and rent clubs?

You guys are the best :teeth:
Christine

If you rent from Marriott -yes you get daily maid service - if you rent from II (getaways) or a timeshare owner - then no -

I think you can add maid service for a fee (if you really want to)

they have a shuttle (expensive- again my opinion) - but I am not sure about airport transportation.

believe me there are a lot of shuttle service at the airport - you shouldn't find a problem getting transportation - of course it is not cheap (my opinion - so others think it is cheap)

when we were there last time they had some good discounts for the golf - play one game get one free - but I don't golf so I can't give you the full details.

we are going in May - so unless you are going first - I will check on the current rates.
