Hello All,

We are getting ready to take our 3 an 1 you DD's to WDW in May. I was thinking about getting them a few inexpensive pins to start trading with but my DW doesn't want me spending any more money. Then I remembered I had this old 1982 Figment Epcot Center pin. I checked online and saw some old Figment pins selling for $20 or so - I have no idea what the value of this 23 year old item might be, but I'd rather avoid the hassle of selling it then buying new ones. I figured you pin experts out there might have some duplicate "junk" pins that my daughter would treasure so here is my offer..

Anyone want to trade a few starter inexpensive pins for this older pin?

Don't mean to offend anyone, have no idea as to its value, just trying to make my daughters trip more special. Though the pin itself appears to be in great condition I don't have the pin back clip but I figure you pros have some of those lying around. I have a pick if I can figure it out but here is a link to an off-site image of the pin:

DocSooner - I have sent you a PM. Please read it and get back to me if you can.

I'm not sure of the date, but the last time one of these was on eBay the final sales price was around $250.00. This pin routinely goes for well over $200.00 every time one shows up there.

There is currently one up on eBay (6524049565) with a starting price of $199.99 that should easily go for at least that amount.

Be careful what you trade it for.

Hello Again All,

Thank you all so much for your kindness and honesty. I never would have thought that this pin could be potentially worth this much to so many people. I truly appreciate your honesty - Thank you.

I have to admit I can't justify spending $200 (or $200 in pin value!!) on pins for my daughter under our current budget. For that reason I'm considering selling the pin on ebay - hopefully then I could take a portion of the proceeds a buy a starter set for my daughter to take to the parks.

As an aside some of you mentioned to avoid the sedesma/spain pins. Am I correct in my understanding that these are not tradeable with the cast members? If so I guess I'd probably like to avoid them, though I doubt my daughter would mind.

Thanks again for all the help, sorry for being an ignorant newbie!!

The Sedesma pins are tradeable to CMs as the company is properly licenses by Disney, although some of them don't like it. If you have a problem, ask for a Pin Manager.

Don't feel bad about ignorance, it is cureable and you are obviously working toward a cure. It is stupidity you have to watch out for; that is ignorance coupled with an unwillingness to learn!
