Haunted Mansion...The Movie

Disney is making a movie based on the ride starring Eddie Murphy. Access Hollywood is doing a behind the sceens thing on it right now. Eddie Murphy stars as a buisnessman who buys the mansion and is looking to turn it into a condo or something? He says that it's going to be funny, romantic, and scarey. They were showing some of the sets of the movie and there are spots that look just like the ride. It looks like it might be pretty cool. I wish they'd make it more like the ride though. You know, like have it be about the guy who married all these women and killed them and how all the spirts get trapped in the house and it needs one more to be at exactly 1000. But I think they're trying not to make it too scarey so the kids will be able to watch it.

Murphy in it it should be good?

My thoughts exactly...his last couple of movies haven't done too good

I read an article about Disney last week that talked about how when Micheal Eisner took over he really "saved" Disney by raising ticket prices and hiring new actors and actress or ones who were "down on their luck" to save money rather than paying for the higher priced actors

I like Eddie Murphy. I loved him in the Dr. Dolittle and I loved watching play all the different characters in the Nutty Professor.

I can't wait to see this movie! It looks like a blast! Any ideas of a release date?

I really liked those movies too, but that was a while ago...

When in Florida in April, we saw soe advertisements / annuncements for 2003 movies..."Finding Nemo"..."Pirates of the Carribean"...."The Haunted Mansion"..."Brother Bear"....and from what we saw, it looks like it's going to be a great year! Admittedly, we didn't see as much concerning "The Haunted Mansion" but we'll keep our fingers crossed. IMHO ~~> Jim Carrey would have been a better choice than Eddie Murphy...

We also heard that in 2004 there will be an animated movie on how the west was won...by cows...lol

Yeah, I wanted to see it be scarey too...but I guess since it's Disney they probably will have to make it mild enough for kids to watch.

That Pirates of the Carribbean movie looks REALLY good though. I've seen the previews for that one.

Meh, I wish I could be excited about this film, but it seems like a tain wreck waiting to happen & having Pluto Nash conducting the train is even worse IMO.
