I know that HM has a floor that moves while you are getting into your Doom Buggy and I think SE does also. Come to think of it, I think Buzz does also.Do they ever stop it?

My DD has Nueropathy (sp?) pretty bad in his feet/legs/hands and I know he will fall if he steps onto a moving floor. How do I handle this?

First, you need to check at Guests relations at one of the parks for a Guest Assistance Card and tell them your needs. This will, more than likely, allow you to enter through the wheelchair entrance (normally the exit) for those moving belt rides. Most belt rides can be slowed or stopped to allow for disabled guest loading, including SE, HM and buzz. The one big exception is Peter Pan, it can not be stopped to load a disabled guest. Also the TTA (formerly the Peoplemover) in Tomorrowland will not stop or slow.

Someone already bumped up this thread about needing more time to board attractions. The thread started in 2002, but it's still very helpful (by the way, if it disappears off the front page of the board, there is a link to it in the disABILITIES FAQs thread, located near the top of the board).
For some of the attractions, there is a wheelchair entrance that is separate from the regular entrance (like Spaceship Earth), but often, you will be routed to the exit to board just before the regular line gets to the boarding area (that's how Buzz Lightyear works).

The disABILITIES FAQs thread also has information about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) - what they are, how they might be helpful and how to obtain one.

Or in shortcut, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Spaceship Earth, Finding Nemo can all be stopped (or slowed to a crawl) for boarding. Just tell the CM what you need when you enter.

Avoid Peter Pan.

If you are in a wheel chair, or have special needs.
You don't go up the moving platform. There is an exit to the left, before the moving platform, behind the door, surprise, an elevator. No need to use that moving sidewalk.

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you!!!!! I will check into the GAC card. My DD walks very tippy without a moving floor, so I could only see bad things happening with that moving floor and didn't want him to be embarassed. Thanks again!
