Haunted Mansion effect help

I am looking to re-create one of the Haunted Mansion's special affects. The first room with the paintings has "scrim" as a ceiling which looks real until it is illuminated and then you can see through it and low and behold theres a hanging body.

What I need to know is where can I buy some of this scrim material for my haunted house??

do you have a local college with a theatre arts department? they may be able to point you in the right direction (or suggest an inexpensive alternative).

Knowing my school they will look at me like I am from Mars......

I guess you cant just walk into any fabric store and ask for it.

Try this site- it has scrim fabric by the yard avaiable for purchase as well as other products- it is pretty expensive though!
