Haunted Mansion Closing November 6 - 15

Hi,
I was looking at the November Park hours and decided to check out the Operational updates, and I have 2 computers, on one it states nothing but the timekeeper is open seasonally. But the other also states:
"The Haunted Mansion not be operating November 6 - 15, 2005 however we recommend Pirates of the Caribbean as an alternative during this time. "
Is this a yearly rehab, am I the only one seeing this on the Disney Calendar Operational Updates for November.

I wonder if they are going to set up the Nightmare Before Christmas theme while it is closed? I had heard that they were going to start doing it like Disneyland, but I do not remember the details.

It is not to make it like Nightmare before Christmas. That takes much longer.

Are you sure - I really thought that out here in California it was only down a week for refurb when it gets changed over

Haunted Mansion in DL closes for a month between Sept. and Oct. for the changeover. We purposely changed our DL vacation because the Haunted Mansion was done for that long.

It would take longer as the previous poster has stated. If we were getting the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion, it would have closed down for about 3 weeks. Probably starting at the end of Aug.

Now do you wanna guess who is getting Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion version? Disney Tokoyo. I asked DW if we can go and I was told no...

There was a post on here a few days ago about this. Someone from the UK posted it because it is on the UK site. It was not on the U.S. site at the time. Poor guy, people just got very nasty with him and accused him of being a troll before someone pointed out he was looking at the U.K. version of the Disney site. So, it does appear to be true.

I am confused... is it going to be closed or not? At WDW or DL? I want to bump this back up to see if anyone knows anything else. This is one of my favorites and I would be really sad if it was closed while I was there!

It is closed from Nov 6-15 at WDW.

Yes, it is indeed going down for a slight rehab. Don't expect anything major in that short a period of time.

If/when they ever brought Holiday over to WDW (which doesn't make sense for many reasons anyway, especially since Disneyland is more geared toward locals than WDW), it is going to take MUCH more work than that - and even more than the traditional month it takes on either end of the install at Disneyland.

WDW's Haunted Mansion is in slightly rough shape backstage - they need to do a lot of technical work in the back before you could even think of putting the overlay there (which is one reason it's never made it's way to FL). Since they are doing this mini-rehab it would seem that the IASW-style rehab HM is rumored to be due won't happen before they other IASW-style rehab of PotC. This makes sense since I am sure they want to capitalize on the PotC sequels - so my best guess is Pirates will go down first.

The Haunted Mansion at WDW will be closed November 6-15 for minor technical refurbishments. The Mansion at DL is already closed for the overlay installation and will reopen on September 30.
