I am sorry if this has been addressed already -- didn't see it.
Does the Haunted Mansion at WDW change to "The Nightmare Before Christmas" version? Last time we were at Disneyland it was changed and my DS (12) was bummed! :sad2:

No, the only place HM is changed is at DL. It's a shame because we are Nightmare fans. DD is going to be Sally for Halloween.

Sleeping Becca already answered the question, but here's some info from the Unofficial Guide:

For the past few years, folks have been speculating that Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday (a seasonal retheming featuring the characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas) was coming to the Magic Kingdom. It appears Jack Skellington and Sally will be coming to Walt Disney World after all, but now as the hosts of a brand-new annual Halloween event that will be held at Disney-MGM Studios - a decidedly different affair from Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, held at the Magic Kingdom. The MGM party, positioned as Disney's answer to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, will pile on the chills and thrills. Look for the Pumpkin King to start ruling over the Studios on selected nights in October 2007.

Looks like the WDW HM is safe for now.

WOW....THAT sounds AWESOME! We loved HMH when we went to DL on our honeymoon...wished it happened here!

Only DL so far but we are hoping the DW will change to Nightmare in the future! :teeth: I never was a great fan of the movie but I love it when they switch things around....Zero is my favorite! :dogdance: they show so much imagination in the decorations and it's really NOT scary, just lets say....unusual? :rolleyes1 Helen

It's also changed at Tokyo DL

I was at Books A Million yesterday and talked myself out of buying 2007 UG. After reading this, I'll prob end up buying it today.

The HMH at DLR is AWESOME. I couldn't believe how well done it was.:earsboy:

Haunted Mansion holiday is also alot less scary for younger kids too. My 4 year old would go on DL HMH, but not on the regular HM......I knew of other kids that were older and were this way too.

HMH is okay, but I wish they'd drop the NBC theme and just have the 999 happy haunts putting up decorations. Sadly, NBC merchandice is everwhere, and there isn't much HM merch.

I thought NBC was in cahoots with Universal? :confused3

Leave the HM alone but bring the parade to MGM! :Pinkbounc

NO! It's Touchtone. The branch of Disney that they use when they don't want the movie to say Disney on it. ;)

I'm assuming you're talking about the television station? I'm talking about Nightmere Before Christmas

On one of the podcasts (I forget which one), they were theorizing that the reason the change to NBC didn't happen at WDW was because it requires closing the ride for 6-8 weeks or so total -- a few weeks to change it to NBC and a few weeks to change it back. It is more reasonable at DL because DL is more of a "locals" park than WDW is, so if you miss it once, you can do it next time, but at WDW, a lot of people can only afford to go every so many years (folks usually go to WDW for a week or so but go to DL for a day or two) and to have the HM closed that much every year = a LOT of disappointed guests.

Just a theory............
