Does anyone know if you can join the VQ, cancel, and re-try?

There have been reports at WDW that if you join the VQ at 7am and cancel, you can re-try at 1pm. But some folks have had that fail, and found they were blocked from the 1pm.

Maybe there's an MK here that can take one for the team and find out for sure, but I don't know that I would chance it if I had limited opportunities to ride. Since it seems like DL isn't enforcing return times - if it were me, I'd probably just time my VQ as best as I can and go when I'm able, even if I'm super-late.

You don’t have to be in the park.

I suppose Disney is trying to be helpful with getting into the HM virtual queue, but damn, this is confusing given that you can't book Lightning Lanes until after you've scanned into a park. How are people supposed to keep these different booking rules straight?

Any recent updates on when the morning queue runs out? Going this Thursday for D23 day. I’m not going to want to go on first thing (not rope-dropping or hurrying to park in the morning). Not even sure I want to wake up at 7am. Lol.

I used to ride Haunted Mansion three or four times per visit. The move to only one FastPass/LL per day per ride and now the VQ are such a bummer in that regard. I get it, but oh well…

We got into the virtual queue around 12:15. It gave us group 198. Currently (12:45) groups eligible to return are 72 to 94 (30 mins ago it was 67 to 89). Assuming constant loading speed, does this mean they take care of about ten groups per hour (which would mean we wouldn’t be able to ride it until late at night)?

On Saturday we got into the parks around 10am and we were able to book HM. We were group 117 and were called around 2-3pm.

It depends on a lot - it's not a consistent flow. I couldn't say for sure, but I'd bet you'd get called somewhere in the late afternoon / early evening range (maybe 5:30pm and 7pm), unless the ride goes down for some reason.

Anyone know if they let you arrive late for VQ here? At EPCOT can pretty much go anytime after VQ is called for Guradians (we’ve repeatedly gone hours later) but at MK they are strict re Tron VQ. Just trying to figure out. Thanks!!

So far, the answer here has been mostly yes. I'll test it for sure tonight - I grabbed a VQ this morning and won't be there until tonight.

So Tiana is supposed to open 11/15. Can we assume it will be VQ? If so do we think HM Holiday will ditch the VQ then?

I’m assuming it will be on VQ when it opens. HM won’t ditch the VQ until their queue construction is done. Hopefully that will be done by the.

I got in the VQ around 7:30am, and got called back at like 10:30am. I went to ride at 8:50pm, and got in without issues. (I saw the CM's screen flash blue - showing I was late - but they waved me through immediately.)

I'm expecting HMH to be VQ through to December. I don't expect the queue to open until HM reopens as OG HM in mid-January.

Got in VQ at 7am for last Wednesday, 8/7. Got called back before we were even in the park. Flew in that day. Rode it mid-afternoon.

Is it possible to "plan" a later time for HM? I will be there all day- and would prefer to ride late afternoon or evening. How goes the 12pm VQ process - I don't suppose there is a chart that shows any of this? thx
