Hato Caves & lighthouse

Hi Guys,
Hope your cruise is going good. Did anyone do the the Hato Caves and Lighthouse excursion and how was it? Thanks for any info you can give
us.

I didn't do the caves, but the ones who did were surprised at how hot and humid the caves were, plus there was a lot of stair climbing.

It may be too strenuous for some.

I did do the caves. The humidity is 97% inside the caves, according to the tour guide. We felt it- very hot, perspired. Couldn't wait to get back on the air-conditioned bus. There were a few fruit bats that didn't bother anyone. It has a gravel pathway, and you only have to duck a couple of times (shorter people not at all). There is one amazing stalagtite formation that looks like the Madonna. The rest of the tour was just o.k. Tour guide, however, was VERY informative and educational. Very friendly, also.
