hate the new fast pass

I LOVED the Fast Pass to get into Club 33 today.

Put me in the "Fan of the VMK Pass" camp. I loved being able to walk around and explore the new features while I was waiting to get into Blue Bayou today.

I'll let you know if I still like it after Hula's next yard sale when I'm number 1364 in line.

I also love the new fastpass. I can wait in the long line while doing everything else!! I like knowing that I am in line rather than trying and trying and never making it in. It makes my time in VMK more productiive!!

I liked it better when it was luck of the draw to get in a 50 person line.

Not me. I love, love, love the new system. I had quit trying to get into host rooms before today. I play this game to have fun and relax, and clicking for 20 minutes only to sometimes get in and sometimes not is neither fun nor relaxing to me. Now, I click, get in, and go do other stuff and have fun. It's all good!

ah! lol hate is such A STRONG word, lol just kidding, i tried to get in bayou, when i minimize the window for VMK and go to dis, it closes the fast pass, ughh what a pain.

I have to say, I LOVE the new fastpass! I could check my emails, read the forums, run my credits and then just pop into the Blue Bayou and continue with my quest. Awesome!

Just a question from someone who hasn't tried the new fastpass system yet.

You say you did the quest after you got your fastpass. Were you able to play the fireworks portion of the quest and still retain your pass, or did you just wait till you left Club 33 to play fireworks?

You can play games while you have your pass. HOWEVER - if your turn comes up when you are still in your game, you will not be able to accept your entry into the room. So, you have to watch that.

Otherwise, yes, you can play.

I would love to wait in a 300 person long line, than sit here for 30 min clicking enter room over and over and over and over until I finally get into line like I did last night! The VMK Fast Pass is the best thing that has happened on VMK.

I'm pretty sure I am the BIGGEST fan of vmk pass....I think I almost knocked Fin over gloating and praising her about it, rofl. Tonight, I did something I could have NEVER done - not only did I make it through a 50 person line, I made it through a 200+ line! On top of that, I was able to enter a few sparrow codes, look through some rooms and chat with friends before I counted down until I was in tree, to,..see you all later, on and I was IN! WOOT! I love it, please don't change a thing vmk!! For someone who was able to make it INTO the queues of 49 but always got dc for lack of activity between my computer and vmk - I am SOoooo HAPPPY!!

If it will cure my issue of disconnecting in any host line except the quick teleporter games, I'm SO excited. I'd wait in a line of 400 glady if it means I can actually finally get in without the dreaded "you have been disconnected" pop-up.

So just to test it I tried this experiment:
I got in the fast pass for Blue Bayou, got in queue with 46 people. Waited 5 minutes, then went back to Blue Bayou room using the just plain wait in line method. The fast pass is at 20 people now and the just wait in line method I have move pass 20 and am 8 in line. So which is better?

fast pass at 14 still, wait -hey no wait I'm in the room

fast pass at 9, I've been in the blue bayou with the wait method, then in about 5 other rooms and now have to stop the fast pass so I can play the fireworks.

Awesome! I don't know Peasy... I'd have to say that I am right there with you as the BIGGEST fan of the FAST PASS! I was in line of 312 for the Club 33 chat...while waiting in line I was able to check out the the New Orleans... go have lunch at the Bayou go do my music... do the new quest and still had time to check out the ticket stuff for the rooms. VMK So ROCKS!! I just love it... before this I would have never made it into a room with hat many people...and then once in Club 33 Chat...Yavn was there. It was just was so cool to chat with Yavn! That was a first for me. So I am so JAZZED...it so awesome! VMK ROCKS!!

Cat herder I am sorry you dont like the new fast pass system but i have to side with the "LOVE IT " camp. I logged on at 1119 last night, grabbed a fast pass to Fin's room, went and visited friends and still made it through the 78 person wait to get in the room before 1130. I think this is one of the best additions to VMK yet

Have you tried adjusting your pop up setting on your browser? I have a feeling that that may be causing issues for some people with the fast pass

I was surprised last night. Fin's Fireside Chat room was only a queue of 200-300 when I entered it. I figured it'd be something along the lines of 500+.

Now Hula's Yard Sale is going to be a whole different story.

I had no problem with the fast pass. I waited in a line for 300 or so people to get into Blue Bayou. As it reached the end, the "enter room" button flashed, I clicked on it, and I was placed into the room. It worked as advertised for me! Of course this was after the first time when I did not realize it would not automatically place you into the room! :-o I have played fireworks while waiting...you just check it after you get back out of the game.

Cat, I'm sorry it doesn't seem to be working for you. I certainly don't know why. It seems that everyone else is not having problems with it.

Personally, I love it! Now I know I can get into host rooms! Yay!

I'm having a love/hate relationship. When it worked, I loved it.
When I started crashing while trying it for Club 33....not so much.

I cleared my cookies and temp files, and I'm going to reboot. I was just
one big lagging mess and dc'd all over the place after a while.

So when my computer works....

I just got through reading a couple of reports where people aren't to thrilled with the fast pass now. I was wondering, if anyone that posted here before has changed their mind on the fast pass.

I still dislike it.. Only 5 minutes after the game opened last night there were already 550+ in line.. No way I have time to sit around and wait for my turn to come up anymore.. I would much rather spend some time click, click, clicking to try to get in.. My whole family (me, son & daughter) use to be able to get into most host rooms no problem and get a prize now none of us can..

I'm back to not trying to get into any staff rooms any longer... the concept is nice but in execution it doesn't work-

Maybe it is because many of the games just don't move quickly enough- but even with the teleporter games if you guess wrong and have to try to get back in the lines are too long

I think this would be great for ride-a-thon type events where staff has multiple instances of the room/games open- and really things like teleporter games don't take much work from staff- they just have to sit there- for those games they could do that

Maybe the better idea would be to have two games going at the same time- one with multiple instances that "runs itself" and another that may take longer to enter- with a slightly more special prize in that one...

but yeah- I tried a few times and I too don't have the time to stave off the dc monster for the length of time we have to when we are in line- and now have to remain active...

Not sure of another answer though- I did like the idea of click and enter and getting in line- but I think there are far too many people in the game for much to work- add to that those that mule during the games and it is worse.

I admit in the past I was able to run myself and kids through games that moved fast and it was quick enough I never did it with more than one person on at a time...
