Hat help

Hello all,

We are leaving for our 2nd surprise trip in just about 4 wks. I have looked in vain for a bucket hat w/ straps for DS10. He had a blue camo one which he absolutely loved, but outgrew. While not set on a similar blue camo hat, I would at least like the bucket hat to have the straps so he could take it off and just let it hang down his back. I looked at the children's store where I bought the now-too-small hat. The store has nothing but b-ball style hats. Any one have any suggestions on where to look for such a hat without spending a pretty penny? Thank for any suggestions.

I would try a camping store or maybe the fishing section of a sporting goods store. Or maybe Eddie Bauer/LL Bean. I just looked LL Bean has a couple but I am not sure how to post the pictures here.

My dh just had to get work boots from one of those work type stores and they had the bucket hats for adults and kids, it was like a sporting goods store. I would also try walmart

I love LL Bean for stuff like that...they have a good selection of kidswear and you can (usually) find some sort of deal.

My DD9's scalp gets burned easily. I found a sunblock designed for that, plus I am going to encourage her to wear a bandana, pirate-style She is just old enough to care about fashion, so I hope she'll go for it!
