Has this ever happened to anyone?

Last night, a very good friend asked if I would please take some of his buyable items, and hold them for his other account. No problem…I have helped in situations like this many times without a hitch. :sunny:

So, a few minutes later his main character and I met up in my guest room so that I could give him his stuff. Well, after placing the limit of goods into the trade window, VMK sent a message congratulating the Everest ride builders for a job well done. My computer started making a terrible noise whenever I tried to click on anything, and nothing was happening, so I exited the trade window.

Now I didn’t think it was going to be a huge problem because I know from experience that if trading gets interrupted, everything goes back into inventory. Well, when I went to give him his stuff for the second time…yup, you guessed it…the one item that was missing was bat magic. Arg! :crazy2:

The way I look at it, either I messed up somehow, or something went crazy on VMK – but it sure wasn’t worth loosing a friend over. Fortunately, I have played my fair share of pirates recently, and had enough to give him my pin, and still purchase another bat magic from the Emporium. I am not angry – just curious? Did I do something wrong? That magic was definitely there before the error - and definitely gone afterwards. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Should I let VMK know what happened? :scratchin

By the way, my friend felt just awful about what had happened, and offered many times to purchase the pin for me. I just couldn’t do it – my trade – my mistake. :guilty:

Nothing went wrong. This has happened often when a trade is closed with items still in the trade window. All you had to do was enter the room again and the item would have been placed back into your inventory. :thumbsup2
