I know that the Backlot Tour at Hollywood studios was under rehab for a couple months, and I was wondering if anybody has been on it since, and has it really changed at all?

I know that just because it is closed for a little bit does not mean they nessesary change the ride around, but i was a little curious...

It hasn't re-opened yet. It's scheduled for rehab through Saturday and should re-open on Sunday. :)

it stinks now anyways IMHO. With the opening of LMA they cut a vital portion of the tour I loved. Its not worth it anymore.

it was actually taken off the official refurb list yesterday, but dunno if it's really open.. AFI is still on the list

I agree. I miss the house fronts (this also severely effected the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights) - my favorite part of the attraction. Now it's not even worth doing.

i understand they were testing the Trams with an audio track instead of a "live" CM but don't know if that is a permanent move.

I agree with SPAM, ever since they changed the whole beginning, its sooo not worth the time.

I remember when we actually saw the filming of some of the shows on the soundstages. We saw some of the "new" Mickey Mouse Club being filmed during the tour many years ago. Every year after that it just seems they took more and more away from it. I doubt I'll even go on it this May.

Well the news is that it will open.. There are some renovation going on and some sound upgrading is happening..
But people in this thread already think it is not worth.. Though I still believe is has a lot of fun

First Living with the Land, now Backlot Tour.

So will they do this to Jungle Cruise next?:sad2:

I think it's just so interesting that they refurbed it. I know there was always that rumor that they were shutting it down to make room for something else.

Yep - it's permanent - that was the point of the referb.
Thanks for the info.:)Evidently Disney was pleased with the refurb of Living with the Land.I still like LWTL,but I have to admit I liked it better with a "live" CM.Do you think Disney considered having the Tram driver do the narration also like Kilimanjaro Safari,Great Movie Ride and Jungle Cruise? It seems like the Catastrophe Canyon scene will be "awkward" with a recorded track.Do you think possibly the Tram driver will go "live" at Catastrophe Canyon? Thanks.:)
