Has it been really cloudy in Florida the past weeks?

Im leaving Sept. 2 - 9th and the weather forecast shows "Mainly Cloudy and Humid". Has it been cloudy recently for everyones trips? That is the one thing I hate is being in "sunny" Florida and having it be gloomy. This could definitely ruin my trip!

We just returned from an 8-night stay. It was clear as a bell and unbelievably hot for the first three days. We kept wishing it would cloud over and rain. For the rest of our stay, it was fairly cloudy and rained each day. We were extremely grateful for the rain and cloud cover. It was almost unbearable without any cloud cover.

Once it started raining it varied from light sprinkles to buckets. They closed the pool two days in a row due to electrical activity. We left the pool and went miniature golfing. That was closed after we'd done only one hole, due to electrical activity.

It's that time of year.

We've had a few cloudy days this month, but mostly sunny and hot.

Summers in Florida are never just cloudy, you'll see plenty of sun and you'll see plenty of clouds that bring thunderstorms in the afternoons. But as someone said the heat and humidity on sunny days mean feel like temperatures of over 100 degrees, so a cloudy overcast day with no rain isn't too bad!!!
