Has Crystal Palace always been a character meal?

I am racking my brain trying to remember where we ate in '98 and had horrible service. I know it was in MK and I could have sworn it was Crystal Palace but I also know it was not a character meal.

Just curious. My sisters can't seem to remember either. All I remember is that my dad had to literally chase our waitress down to get us refills. LOL

Hi,

The first time we ate at CP was in August 1996 and it was definitely a character meal at that point.

We went to Orlando for our honeymoon in 1998 and had a meal with Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace.

Dang. It had to have been The Plaza then. I mean not that it matters. I'm just trying to remember.

well, back in the 80's it wasn't a character meal and the food STUNK! - but then again - back in the 80's there were not that many character meals. YOu had to reserve one (you had a group seating time) and everyone arrived at the same time. I remember going to one on the Empress Lily.

Back in the 70s, the CP was my father's favorite place to eat in MK, also the only park at that time! It was called a buffeteria and you pushed your tray along, but only had a choice of like 3 different things. We liked it, and had dinner there whenever we were in the MK. On a side note, we always ate our lunch at Pinocchio's with a table overlooking IaSW. My first experiences with other places to eat were after I got married and went with DH.
