Has anyone worn Skechers GoWalks in Parks?

The fabric might be different it the style, but I believe the technology is the same. I love mine and I have 5 pairs- wore them to Disney last year and to work. If you're walking, I've heard that walking shoes are better for your feet than running shoes.

Excellent info. Thanks!

I've owned 5 pairs of GoWalks. I wear them for work since I'm on my feet 8 hours during my shift and wouldn't think about going to disney with out them. They come in so many different designs. Just bought a pair that looks like boat shoes. :cheer2:

Is there a 'breaking in' period?

Two years ago I wore (slightly broken in) Skechers Fit Flops & after 1 hour got blisters that ended up getting infected. Because of where they were on my feet I couldn't wear my sneakers so I had to wear my Havaianas flip flops the rest of the trip, which killed my arches.

I never ever want that experience again!

Love the GOWalks. I have two diff styles and they are both heavenly ;)

To those who have been wearing the Skecher Go walkers with great success- are you wearing them with socks or without? After reading about these on these boards, I just bought a pair today at Kohls, tried them on with some thin, Chinese laundry no show peds, and they fit and felt great, but when I came home and tried them with the thicker, cushiony socks I was going to wear at Disney, they were too bulky, and they showed. I'll try them on a shopping day with my sisters this Friday, with the thinner no shows, and see how I make out.

I have not tried the go-walks, but I've worn my croc sandals for the past 6 yrs to all sorts of amusement parks, including Disney. They have been more comfortable to me than my asics, sauconys, or my new balances. And I'm a huge fan of all of those too!

After reading a gazillion posts about these Go Walk shoes I decided to buy some and I wanted to share that Amazon has a fairly decent selection of sizes available and if you sign up for their shoes email they will send you a 20% off coupon (the real reason I decided to buy them lol).

Cool thank you!!

Could you tell me how you signed up for the shoes email? Please:)

I don't wear socks with mine. I have never had any problems with them, no blisters or anything, and no stinky feet or shoes either. I wore them atWDW for 4 full days at the parks with no issues. Love them.

I wear them with thin no show socks. Love them!

I haven't worn them to Disney yet, but do plan on it! I prefer wearing them with socks, but they are fine without too.

I highly recommend the Sketchers. I wear them for distance walking ... they make it through the parks with the greatest of ease!

In fact, I make it a point to walk an average of 2 miles daily, and use nothing but these shoes. Make sure to break them in first, though, or you WILL suffer!

I wear mine all day teaching and my feet haven't hurt since I got them!

The best thing is that on days I don't wear socks, I can throw them in the washing machine!!!

If you chose shoes from the shop by department menu on the left the offer is on the main page for shoes, kind of a small ad across the middle of the page when I view it.

Haven't had personal experience with GoWalks in the parks but I loved walking around my neighborhood in my pair until for some reason I started to continuously walk right out of the shoe. It might be a problem with the size of the shoe and not the GoWalk style itself, but it was annoying that they were great one day and the next I couldn't keep them on my feet.

I have a pair of Go Walk shoes that I LOVE.

But, all GoWalk shoes are NOT created equal! I tried on a bunch of different styles at DSW and the slip ons are nowhere near as comfy as the ones that have laces. The model I ended up getting is the GoWalk Baby in Grey. I love how they match practically everything I wear!

I use them to walk my dog 2-3 miles each day. They are pretty good, but one time I wore them without socks, and it was hot that day. My feet started sweating and slipping around in the shoes after about 15 minutes. I had painful hot spots the rest of the day. Lesson learned. Wear socks for long distance walking.

I wear them without socks for just running errands or whatever, but when I have to walk continuously on hot pavement....SOCKS! One thing I have noticed is that you can feel the heat through the shoes if the pavement is hot enough and you are not wearing socks. These shoes, ironically, do not breathe much at all, even though they are so lightweight and mesh-like.

I found much better prices at DSW than anywhere else, including Amazon, Zappos, etc.

I plan to take them to WDW this summer, but will probably only wear them when we head back out in the evenings for a couple hours at a time.

I wore my gowalks and my husband wore the goruns!! They are comfortable. I wore them and my Teva flip flops at Disney.

Great advice and input! We usually go in Aug/Sept/Oct and I wear Chaco sandals. I am going for the first time at the end of November since I was a kid (went once at Christmas)-and have been wondering what kind of shoes to wear. Thinking it would probably be too cold at least at night for sandals and I would need a good walking shoe. Noticed my coworker was wearing some GoWalks today and had to look up what everyone thought of them here! Thanks!
