But I just recently used Blurb.com to create a photo album - I haven't gotten the finished product in the mail yet but it was pretty easy to use the editor to upload the pix and lay them out on the pages. It is pretty cool - you end up with a hardbound book with a dust cover. I'll let you know how it turns out - I am sure you could use that program to create a very wedding album!

they look wounderful and so much cheaper.
i will look into this

one question- can you deisgn the book or do they?

thanks for posting

You already know how much I love Blurb - they offer bigger books at 20% the cost of this site's coffee table books.

However, if you want a flushmount album, I am totally not helping you at all... it seems pricey to me, but I haven't shopped around much - I've just heard rumors that photographers charge like, $500 for these...

the rumores are true. mine would be over one thousand!! yikes. but on that site they have a package which is one 10*10 flush and 2 8*8 and it is like 1000!!i think that is great

i was woundering can i design it

Yes - it looks like they'll take pages you design - one of the ordering options is "send your CD with ready-to-print layouts" ... which sounds like Photoshop PDFs to me. They also have a line in the FAQ saying they can't really help you figure out your own graphic design, which says to me that doing your own is an option! :thumbsup2

i am debating the whole flush mount album thing...blurb is SO MUCH CHEAPER...but will i regret not having one? they are super expensive from randy, almost twice the cost of this website...i should probably stop worrying about this now and think about it AFTER i get my pics back!

YES!! You will need something to obsess about after the wedding, after all... :rotfl:

Am I going to miss having that?

A flushmount album has actual photographs the size of each page glued to each page, whereas Blurb, Snapfish, My Publisher etc. have the photographs printed on pages like in a magazine or a book. So a flushmount would be like having a really pro version of a traditional album where you stick the photos in slots.

HTH! :thumbsup2

Yeah, it looks like you have to have the pictures already, then stick 'em on the adhesive pages and then snap all the pages into the book in the order you want.

So that means, I guess, that on top of the cost of the kit, you have the cost of buying prints of all the pix you want. And if you want pro prints instead of Wal*Mart prints, that means $$$. D'oh!

I don't know anything about these sites but DF and I are getting a flushmount album from our photographer included in the cost. The great thing is we get to design it ourselves [pick the photos and even arrange them if we choose to] I would definetly reccomend a flushmount to anyone.....there so awesome!:goodvibes
