I know about the sunny15 rate and know several people have used it successfully. There is a fla20 rate from the Canadian Alamo Site which gives a lower rate even than sunny15 and wondered if anyone has used it yet?? Thanks in advance....:thumbsup2

Try 430710 (WalMart code gives you free driver) and AD3829MRB - I used these codes and couldn't beat the price anywhere else ($125 for full size - 8 days).

Hadn't heard of either of those codes before now, Blueberry - but THANK YOU! Sunny15 just saved me an additional $7 (and every penny helps :teeth: )
With any luck, Alamo will end up paying ME to rent ;) Keep the codes coming!

I just plugged in the Wal-Mart code, and my rental for a standard size SUV for 10 days went down from $333 to $265. Hey, $68 isn't bad!

Received these from travelzoo : rate BQ8A coupon USA
Gave me the best rate on a midsize SUV - nearly $100 less than other codes for my week!

I just used this code: AD3829MRB and it saved me 25.00. We got a midsize car for under 100.00 for the whole week! :cool1: :cool1:
Thanks so much!!!!!! More money for souvies!!!!!!!!

I'm telling you - try it again with the sunny15 code in the "ID/Corp ID" field, and the "AD" coupon code.
Walmart code: Eight day, non-Florida rental total $75.62; + taxes/fees, $121.50
Vacation Outlet code 698805 (because I have that one memorized): Same price and features as the Walmart code
sunny15: base $70.03, total $114.29
All rates for compact car. YMMV.

Help!
I entered sunny15 in ID/Corp ID and AD3829MRB in Coupon Code. It's asking me for an applicant code?? Any ideas?

I think that's just an option, not required (it's never stopped me). I've got the Alamo reservation screen open, if you want to give me your dates/times.

Note that the code you have MAY be better for YOU. I tried them, and the least expensive car on which they're valid is a convertible - nice, but all I need is the compact. Well, really all I need is an economy car - but the $25 e-coupon isn't valid on that so the compact's cheaper.

I am looking for a midsize or fullsize car. The dates are Dec 24 10:00 p.m. to Dec 31 3:00 p.m. I have tried the codes you are saying, but can not get anything lower than 475.00 for a midsize. Is it just the time of year?? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a compact for $83 taxes etc inclusive with Alamo (Dec 1 to 8, pick up MCO, drop off RSW). Used the 430710 Walmart Code and the $20 off weekly rental from the alamo site (AD1336ADK)

I've never rented from Alamo before. At RSW, I far prefer National because of the Emerald Aisle service and how easy it is to have a spouse as an additional driver. I have a couple of questions about the kiosk service at Alamo:
1) Will I have any trouble using the kiosk with the e-coupon?
2) The Walmart rate has an additional driver included. What will I need to do at the kiosk to make sure that my hubby is included as an additional driver?

Any other tips I should know about? Nervous first time Alamo renter here.

It looks like its just the time of year.
Don't give up.Keeping looking every day and you might get lucky and see a price drop.

I've never rented from Alamo at MCO before either. I was able to add my hubby as the additional driver on my reservation. I believe I clicked "Save Time" on their website and was able to input the information.

Ditto. If you try hotwire.com, you can get a midsize car for about that amount, total (vs. it being the base price directly from the rental sites) but of course, you don't know until you complete the transaction where you're getting the car from - although it will be one of the major agencies - and it's non-refundable.

When I do the 430710 and AD3829MRB it says I might need to produce this at the time of rental. Do I need anything? I am getting a rate of $119 for 10 days in Jan w/tax for a midsize.

laxcdn: Nope, no coupon to print out, it's an ecoupon. That pops up for ALL coupons

I tries the sunny15 ID and it was almost $20 more than the Walmart ID...Maybe as I get closer to the trip it will be a better deal

I got my best rate with the Walmart ID and the AD3829MRB coupon...I then called Alamo to see what the phone rate was...it was much higher and when I told them no thanks, they offerd to give me a lower price than the web reservation. I have a 5 day rental for $69 (sunny 15 was $88).

Gotta love a company that's so competitve they have to beat their own rates!!:rotfl2:

Best rate I have found for our vehicle which we are renting a Standard SUV from Dec 10 to dec 20th was $204 US.
I used Corp ID Amex 7013604 and Coupon Code AD1336ADK which has aprintable coupon from the site. I've tried every combination of codes known to man and this is the best I could come up with.

I haven't used that code, but thanks to your mentioning it, I got an economy car, from Alamo at the Dolphin for just $4 more than I would have spent with Budget, in DTD!!! I'm thrilled....I can just check out of BWV, head to Dolphin, pick up my car and drive back to BW and load my stuff. Thanks for the heads up....while I didn't use the Ent. book code, I was able to use my AP code.
