I have been looking for cheap airlines tickets for our family trip to DW in May, and was wondering if anyone has flown on the SONG airlines. We are thinking of flying out of Boston and they have great rates for roundtrip tickets to Orlando. The price would be $932.40 for a family of 6.

I've flown Song BOS to MCO 4 times already, and will do it every time. The prices are great, teh service is great, and it has the backing of Delta (it used to be Delta Express) so if there are any problems like mechanical breakdown, missed flights, or something, they can alway put you on a Delta plane. The only comparable flights from BOS to MCo are JetBlue, but they don't have as good a schedule, or the backing of a major airline.

Definately fly Song. We flew out of Boston on Song November 2004. The rates were so much lower than the other airlines and it was a nonstop flight. I thought for sure we would need to help fly the plane by flapping our arms or something. I couldn't have been more wrong. On Song air travel has reached the new century!! The planes are new, the flight attendants are not robots with stuffy navy blue uniforms and the atmosphere is so up beat plus a TV at every seat. The best flight I have ever had.

We've tried thm once going to WDW. We were very pleased. Between Song & Jetblue these are the only airlines I'd fly now(to WDW).

We are going to WDW 2/5-2/12/05 & will be flying song too. I read they have TV's @ the seat. Is that every seat & what is playing on the screen? I have a DD 5 & DS 2 & am curious if this will keep them entertain atleast part of the time :cool1:

The Tv's use Dish Network sattellite VT, and have about 20 channels, including Nick, but not DIsney, if IRC. They also have movies for Payperview, music channels, and a great music trivia game you play against other passengers. They also have a travel channel that lets you track the plane.
headphones are free, but they are the ear buds that fit in your ear; bring some better ones if you want to be comfortable. They use a regular mini headphone jack.

Song has been wonderful for us the last three trips, and we are using them again 1/29-2/5/05. The salad you can buy was really good last January, and okay this September. Maybe it changes a little seasonally? Going to try it again on the way down. The sandwiches have never disappointed DH. With regard to the earphones, they are a little uncomfortable, so regular portable CD phones will fit. OR, the last time, a nice male flight attendant saw that our two yr. old was having a hard time with the ear bud type and brought over a type that hooked over the ear.
I have posted on other threads the wonderful accomodations that SONG has made for us, once for a snow storm, the other for Hurricane Jeanne. We have no complaints. Hope to keep it that way, as we tend to be hard to please, but Song has always come through! :cheer2:
Have a wonderful trip.

Edit:::: Accomodations, meaning finding other flights for us to get home on time.... not as in lodging. Never got stranded with them, as they have found space on other flights for us. Sorry that was unclear.

We LOVE Song! Will book with them everytime if possible. I am a nervous flyer, but playing the trivia game with the other passengers sure made the time "fly"! Each and every seat has it's own little tv screen - wonderful!

We've flown song several times in the past year. It is Delta's "low cost" airline. Not really much difference except if you go during mealtimes...meals are optional and a little on the pricey side. Although I have found their sandwiches to be pretty good!

We are going to use them for the 1st time this year - $59 each way From LGA to MCO! Usually we fly JetBlue, who I also love, but, they fly only out of JFK. LGA is much easier on us.

We used Song on our last flight back from WDW. Very nice.

We are using them to go to WDW this time from LGA to MCO. We are using AirTran to get back. For a family of three, during Spring Break, cost is a total of $423.30!

That's a great deal!

We used Song last year around Halloween and it was a great flight, even my husband mentioned it and he hates flying. The flight attendants all had some type of costume on and were making jokes with a rubber chicken! They really go out of their way to make you feel at ease.

Hi,
I have flown Song from Orlando to Las Vegas because it is one of the few carriers that fly direct from Orlando to Vegas.DH and I loved it.TV's on the back of the seats with many tv channels, music channels, and a trivia game that you can play against others on the flight. So much fun gets competitive(especially on a long flight)! Serivce and personal were very friendly and helpful and plane was so clean. Also, they have a brown bag service where you can buy all types of very good food for resonable.I told my mom about it and now she only flys Song to Vegas and loves it as much as we did. I always check Song first now for any flight.Hope this helps and have a great trip!

This is all great info on Song.......now here's my question

I would love to fly with Song out of Newark for our upcoming trip in Ocober. Current fare is running $114.00 one way.

How likely is it that they will offer a better deal between now & then????

Thanks for any help you seasoned Song travellers can offer!!!
