I was just wondering because I have reserved a full size with them for 8 days-May 2 until May 10, and it is only 257.10...

That is WAY cheaper than everyone else, and I was just wondering if there is a reason.LOL.

ANYBODY??

Thanks in advance..

There have been positive experiences and neg. experiences with L&M over the years...

They tend to be high pressure on insurance...and if you want to decline make sure you have the main coverage page from your insurance not just your card.

Complaints about cars...I've never had one.

Not honoring some of the really low rates a few years ago...again I have never experienced this....

I've used them 3 times in the last 3 years without incident...but some people haven't been so lucky...

Would I use them again Yes.

I've used them 6 times without incident. I have read about some people having a bad experience with them especially during busy times. I always received good service, I have never had to wait in a line and the cars were clean and in good condition. They have asked me for proof of insurance 2 times out of 6. It's always good to have your insurance papers on hand if you don't want to purchase additional. I do think the quality of their cars has gone down. I always get a compact, I used to get a Nissan, last time I got a Daewoo. I will rent from them again because they are the cheapest on site.

If you are worried about L & M, you may want to see if you can beat their rate via Priceline. That's what I always do, and I've always gotten a better Priceline rate. They only deal with onsite companies, except for Hertz (we usually get Alamo, but have gotten Avis a few times, Hertz twice, and National once). And believe me, Hertz is just as good as the onsites...we're on our way in our car within 15 minutes, including shuttle bus time.
One good thing about L & M...they typically seem to have a much shorter line compared to the other companies, at least at the time we arrive (usually late on Friday nights).

We used them last summer for a minvan and the price was far better then the others. We once again will use them in May and agree about the lines, they do seem shorter. I say try them once and if it goes well, you may want to form your own opinion and let others know the pros and cons.

I used them once and did not have any of the problems I read here on the boards.::MickeyMo

There have been people posting L&M refusing to honor rates, creative reclassification of car classes and pushing insurance. If they did these things all the time they'd be out of business.

Most agencies will hold your reservation until midnight or at least will hold your reservation if your flight is delayed. Not L&M.

Reservations are automatically cancelled after 1-hour of expected arrival time. If Renter is in route and notifies us of their delay, a reinstatement fee may apply to all late arrivals to guarantee rate category on reserve

You PROBABLY won't have a problem with them but why take the chance?
