I already use ebay with great luck, then heard about this site. Is it reliable? Do they have good stuff? Any problems? TIA!

I have used iBidUSA.com numerous times. I would recommend them to everyone.

I signed up last night after reading these posts. Is this only good in the Florida area. I could not find how to bid on cert's etc. PLEASE HELP

When I signed up I was asked for a username which I supplied and then received an email with my password. Bidding is just like on eBay. If you can't figure it out, try biddersupport@ibidusa.net. They are extremely helpful!

I find it interesting that the only thing I've ever seen "Gumball" post is links to iBidUSA and positive reports on iBidUSA. Sometimes those posts are just random -- like on completely unrelated threads (i.e. the thread about BiddingForTravel.com).

Coincidence?

Could be, But then again they have the best deals I have found on Orlando deals. I love a site you can get Free discount coupons without having to join. I thought thats what these boards are for?

I don't live in Florida. I got the impression that this was for many states, but it seems to only be for Florida. It also doesn't have anything I would use for WDW at this time, so it was not helpful for me. I would love for someone to prove me wrong.

I have used ibidusa.com before also and have had nothing but good luck with them. I live in Georgia so I do not feel that it is limited to Florida residents only. I will also say that the coupons and offers that they have seem to suit off site visitors more than onsite. We are going to be there in July and I have already started to accumulate some certificates. (Most do not expire for six months, but be sure and check when buying ahead) We have had winning bids on 2 adult Pirate Adventure Dinners for $40.00, Tiki Adventure Golf for 4 people for $12.50. Dining certificates for Pacific Seafood, 5 & Diner, Lulu's Bait Shack. If anyone knows anything about any of these restraunts please let me know.
I have also found that this is a good way to save money. My hope is that by the time we get there in July most of our meals will be paid for ahead of time.

I used Ibiidusa.com on our last trip in December with great problems. One place went out of business, the other would not honor the certifiacte. sent a email to biddersupport@ibidusa got no response. Sent a letter did not hear from them. Would not use again.

Happy could you be a little more specific with your problems with them. Like, why they would not honor your certificate and if possible the names the place that was out of business that you had a certificate for. I am a little concerned because I have purchased several certificates to use the week of July 4th.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I use iBid a lot for everything. The certificates are good for 6 months so there is a chance that a business closed down, changed ownership or even burned down. I did have this happen to me once, but the customer service was great. Even though it wasn't their fault, they gave me a credit for the amount I paid for the certificate. The customer service department always responds to my emails within 48 hours and I have always been pleased with their support.

Itribble, one was for the Clay Oven on international drive. Changed there name. Also the picture they showed on the add was nothing like it.They would not honor the certificates.
The other was kers wing house. Manager said that the certificates were bogas and there was a legal problem with ibid. he also said buyer beware.
Customer service never got back to me on my complaints ,I thought I would hear back from them .

We used IBIDUSA several years ago and the limo service we won a certificate from apparently went under. IBIDUSA took a long time to respond to my complaint and needed several contacts from me as they made me jump through several hoops trying to "work it out" with the business that I couldn't contact. Ultimately they did refund my money. I chalk the problems in customer service up to their being new at the time and I would not mind trying them again given the positive reviews posted here.

I have never had a problem. they have new owners and have been great ever since!! give them a try, also they have FREE coupons...:smooth:

"Tony (Coolidge) has been an artist, writer, designer, web designer, and programmer. He has worked professionally since 1984, and has been a business owner since 1991. In 1995, Tony moved to Florida to be with his mother. He taught himself web site design and programming skills in 1997. In 1999, Tony and three partners formed iBidUSA.com, inc., an Internet auction company that grew to 25 employees. Tony was the President of the company. In 2001, Tony left to form his own Internet and multimedia company, PROactive Media, Inc. (www.GoPROactive.com) The company recently expanded with new staff and services.

So it doesn't really appear the company changed owners? Just loss of a president.

Regardless.....We didn't purchase anything from ibidusa - but we did bid on the ?Vistana resort a couple of years ago. The resort contacted us afterwards with a special promotional offer after we didn't win the bid. So ibid is at least definitely affiliated or working well with some of its advertisers - so this is a good thing!

We are at least planning on checking the site before our next trip to Florida. They really do have some interesting things sometimes!

Yes, I have used them many times - they are great - I have had wonderful experiences and have saved lots of money. I highly reccomend.
