Trying to book MCO Hyatt the night before our cruise & this site has it $50 cheaper than Hyatt, Priceline, Expedia, etc. Too good to be true?

I’m a book directly with hotels. Actually, most things travel (like cruises). And with established companies. I am sure I have missed out on savings, but I have a peace of mind. And avoid prepaid rates, with a cancellation period close to use date.

Fifty dollars is a nice savings. But what I am risking is typically a lot more. I have a slight risk aversion.

This website has suspicious reviews by security reviewers, from what I can interpret. And maybe that is true for many start-up businesses. The red flags they listed were name of ownership unavailable, date of initiation in 2023, and possible location of Indonesia.

Established is not the only criteria, however. My brother booked through a well- known booking engine. When Hurricane Irma shut down the St Thomas (and his hotel), he was out what he had prepaid. Meanwhile, the Marriott timeshare he was staying in the nights before his intended hotel stay was able to feed them, ferry them to Puerto Rico, and put them up in a nice hotel (with a daily room credit) - at Marriott’s expense. As the owner of the timeshare week, I was endeared to the company for the treatment they gave their guests.

…Are you a member of Hyatt’s loyalty program? Free. Or have AAA or USAA membership?

Are you willing to spend time checking rates. Between booking and your trip - for some it’s not worth the money. I’ve saved more than $50 on a room that way. But I have free time.
