We are bringing our Macleran stroller so wouldn't be using it for a stroller other than in the airport. I read the amazon reviews, but am curious if anyone on here has any input?

Thanks in advance!

I have one that I just bought for me to kids and so far I really like it. I have a 8 weeks old and a 3 year old. It is perfect. We are going to Disneyland on the 2nd of March and it is coming with us.

Sorry for some reason I saw sit and stand not sit and stroll. Sorry.

I've had 2. We had an older one which we used for our now 2.5yo son when we travelled and it was convenient, but awkward to use. It was easy to go from carseat to stroller, but the older style was a lot more clumsy to have it retract from stroller to carseat.

We got a new one last year and the newer one's are much better made. I remember there was a recall for those made between 2002 and 2003 so I would not buy used, like on eBay. We had to practice retracting it, but eventually got to the point of being able to pop it out from being in carseat mode to stroller. Flying with it was a breeze.

It was around $280 or so when we bought it and I consider it an investment. We've used it for 2 kids so it got more than one year of use plus we also use it as an extra carseat at home just in case.

Don't forget there are now wheeled bags in case you choose to take a carseat that way and there are special attachments (like straps to make it easier to take a carseat along and a wheeled one made especially for Britax carseats) so there are cheaper options.

I'll just throw out the only reason we did NOT buy one - very limited storage (is there any at all? It's been so long since we looked at one, i've forgotten) No basket etc.

I've spoken to people that I've seen using them and they have always loved them though! Do what works best for you and your family.

If what you are talking about is the car seat that turns into a stroller, I would have to say skip it. We used one for my daughter a couple of years ago and hated it. It was really hard to put in the car...the car's seat belt had to go over the car seat (ie. across my DD's lap)...it was really hard to get a good tight fit & in fact, we never really did. DD hated having the seat belt across her since she was used to a Britax seat at home...converting it to a stroller was a real pain, no storage, bad steering...

All around it was a bad experience. If you are renting a car just rent a c ar seat along with it...we have always had wonderful experiences doing that with National. We always rent a car, so I'm not sure what people do on the buses...we just prefer having our own car there because the buses are always so slow & then we have our own stroller everywhere we go.

Hope this helped!

FYI if you have a Britax Roundabout, Marathon, Decathlon, or Blvd you can use a Gogo Kidz Cart instead. I have read that others have also used a samsonite Micromover with success. I don't have any personal experience with the sit 'n stroll but I thought I would mention those other two products to you as options. hth.
