This is a non-paid testimony.
My DW started using SENSA about 4 months ago. She has lost 16 lbs so far, and it is noticeable so I know she's not fudging the numbers. Even though she has an app on her iPhone to remind her to sprinkle, and there are shakers all over the house, she continually forgets to sprinkle.
So I decided to start using her 'left over' shakers to see if it would help me. I've been stuck at 215 - 220 lbs for over 4 years, and the scale was starting to creep up to 222 lbs and all my clothes were way too tight. My rotating work shift schedule does not support a healthy eating schedule (I know, excuses).
The impact on my appetite was almost immediate. I felt full and was not craving munchies food. At restaurants, I will immediately ask for a carry out box and put half my meal in it and still be full and satisfied. It took a couple of weeks before the weight started to come off, but it is now coming off at a steady healthy pace.
I have a spreadsheet tracking my weight, with a goal of 185 lbs at 1/2 lb a week (averaging about 1 lb a week right now). Weigh in was today and Ive lost 11 lbs so far. Last week I switched to the SENSA for Men system. Picked up the full 6 month system from
Amazon. As for the cost, I believe it is an even wash compared to the food cost we are not consuming.
For me, at 54 years old, the system is working. It is working for my DW (55) also. We have not experienced any negative side effects some of the blogs mention such as abdominal cramping, etc. It just makes us feel full and satisfied; hence we eat less and enjoy what we eat more. Ive also been adding more fruits and vegetables to my daily food intake. This last week I almost single handedly finished off my Fathers Day DQ Ice Cream cake, and I still registered a weight loss.
This week I plan to start into an exercise routine (push ups, sit ups, exercise bike, treadmill) to help increase my metabolism and improve my body tone. Its all about small steps towards the bigger picture. DW has already started walking on the treadmill 3 - 4 times a week. We converted DDs bedroom into our exercise room earlier this year, so we might as well enjoy the empty nester benefits.
So our 30th Wedding Anniversary is in Oct at WDW with numerous meals planned. We are confidant that we will still be able to enjoy our dining experiences at WDW, not gain any weight, and have a great time being ~ 20 lbs lighter than our previous years visit.
For anyone wanting to try the SENSA system, I recommend purchasing from eBay, Amazon or GNC vs. the SENSA site. The complaints on trying to cancel automatic delivery seems to be the most valid complaint out there. And if you do try the system, give it time to work. It may not be for everyone, but it may work for you.
