After four months of being treated for hip bursitis, I just found out today that I have a tendon tear, a torn rotator cuff of the HIP.
My doctor gave me three treatment options:
surgery
nitroglycerin patches -- to increase blood flow and speed healing or
PRP -- which a lot of athletes have had, but has truly been scientifically tested.
I'm leaning toward starting with the patches -- less invasive, less costly and easiest to do.
Just wondered if anyone had first person experience. My doc wants me to do some research this weekend and get back to him on Monday.
