I ordered it today from QVC, Nutrisystem advanced, weekends off.
I need to loose for my return visit to WDW. thanks for any opinions:thumbsup2

I'm on Day 13 now and I lost 5 lbs so far. The food is ok, not the greatest, but it's tolerable. You have to add in fruit, veggies and dairy. I actually feel a lot better. My blood pressure was up a few weeks ago, and now it's back to normal.

Haven't tried it, but I ordered it last night too from QVC. I hope it tastes decent... I think it will help me by being convenient. I usually don't have time to plan for breakfast and lunch and I usually grab some type of fast food. With this plan, I plan on taking all of the breaksfast foods and a few of the lunches to work and storing them there for convenience and keeping the dinners at home. I think this will help me out tremendiously. Hope we can report some weight loss real soon.:thumbsup2

I also ordered the TSV from QVC. I am now on day two and while it's still too soon to decide if I can stick to the program, the food is okay. The portions are crazy small though and I now know why I haven't been able to lose weight eating the portions I consider normal. I wish everyone success and I hope I can report a weight loss in the next few weeks. Marie

I've tried it for a day. They sent a snack bar, mashed potatoes and lasagna. I liked the snack bar, but I just got so freaked out about the lasagna not needing to be refrigerated that I was only able to eat half of it. The potatoes were tolerable, but I was only able to eat a few bites before it made my stomach hurt. It surely wasn't the way to go for me, but it's different for everybody. Good luck! :goodvibes

I did it for 2 months..sorry to say but the food is gross.
I wound up with only 3 things I could stand to eat and then got sick of them.

I have now lost a total of 7 lbs. I can feel that my pants are already loose. :thumbsup2 One thing to those are are just starting. Be careful with the blueberry muffins. They cause major gas! :rotfl2: I will only eat that on the weekends. I was in pain and couldn't wait to get off the subway on my way home from work one day. Some of the other breakfast muffins or scones have the same affect. If you read on their message boards, you will find info on those products.

I have been on it for 9 days and lost 6 pounds so far. Hate the food except for a few items. oh well.

What do you mean weekends off????

I've tried it. A friend and I did it. She lost on it and I didn't. The food was so nasty. Soy everything. But thats just me. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.:thumbsup2

and lost 9 pounds. I am getting married in Disney this November so that is my motovation. I have done WW, which is a great program, but I would cheat so often I never really lost a good amount of weight.

I ordered my NS on line and not from QVC. I wanted to be able to pick and choose my food and I also wanted to do it 7 days a week. I was afraid that I would go off on the weekends and not get back on the program.

So far I have liked most everything I have eaten. It never bothered my that the food was not refrigerated. And the hamburgers are freeze dried and you add boiling water to them to make them plump up but so far I have liked everything I have eaten.

You do need to add fruit, veggies and dairy. I generally do bananas and blueberries (my two favorite) for my fruit. One of my tricks for NS is canned mushrooms. I try to add a small can of mushrooms to most of my NS meals (low sodium variety).

One of my favorite things are the cheesy mashed potatoes. They are like instant mashed potatoes. I add the boiling water and let it sit for a few minutes. I then add a small can of mushrooms and a tablespoon of salsa. This is a great big lunch.

I purchased a very good digital scale (the kind used to weight yourself - not food). My weight in day is Friday and I love the fact that the digital scale is accurate. There is a place on the NS website where you can track your weight and this is a great incentive for me. If you go on the NS website there are boards just like here and there are great tips for staying on program and even recipies using NS and store bought foods.

Good luck,
Linda

I ordered my NS online just a few minutes ago. I am VERY picky, and most of the food looked pretty good to me! I didn't do the auto-delivery because I want to try it for a month before I obligate to it. DH decided to do the program with me, and I am looking forward to some results!!

Just got off the phone from ordering myself:banana: I didn't know you could get it on QVC, please tell me it's not a substantial savings that way. I didn't know anything about the weekends off thing either, can someone enlighten the rest of us on QVC price and program differences?

My goal is to lose 35# (to start) so I joined on the "3 weeks free" program, each month you pay for three weeks and get one free. You have to do it for at least two months and cancel in order to not lose money.

I'd be interested in hearing about people's weight losses, tips and advice. I am also a WW gal and in previous years was able to lose 15-20# over a 4 month period or so doing WW but this time I've hit my heaviest and really need to get portions under control. What I eat isn't the problem, it's how much:rotfl2:

I would definately suggest ordering it directly from NutriSystem. This way you get a full weeks worth of food (not just 5 with weekends off). At least in the very beginning I want to do all week and not just 5 days. Purchasing NS off QVC is less expensive BUT you do not get as much food.

After one month I am down 9.2 pounds and feel great. I am planning on 3 months also and then we will see where I am. I would like to stay on until I lose all the weight I want to. I might try to do a day off here and there once I am down more weight. As of now I have pretty much kept to the program. We went out to dinner twice - once I was great and had a WW meal at Applebees and once I was just craving a hamburger - so I only had 1/2 the bun - a few french fries - and lettuce and tomato.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Linda

Does anyone know if the food and plan is the same for weekends off as the all week stuff?

Here is the link to the weekends off.

It doesn't appear that you can customize the QVC program at all.

My box has been riding around in the UPS truck all day and is going to be delivered this evening! I hope that it's not a melted mess by the time I get it.

I did NS for a few months a couple of times but was never able to stick with it because I got sick of the food.

I did love the mashed sweet potatoes and I used to make taco salads out of the tacos.

Now I am doing Jenny Craig and enjoy the food so much more. I've been on it since April.

I have just completed day #2 and I have to say: the food is disgusting! Blueberry muffin yesterday was okay, mashed potatoes with meatloaf, well, the meatloaf was edible but not the potatoes (they were brown?). Today I had the frittata for breakfast or NOT because I threw it away and at lunch I tried the fettucine alfredo which I could not eat either. Good news was that I tried the pizza for dinner and it was very good. So thumbs up for the muffin and the pizza, thumbs down for the frittata, potatoes and alfredo. I also liked the brownie (that's a no-brainer) and the chex-mix, so desserts are a go. Tomorrow I'm trying the cc granola bar, black bean soup and haven't decided on dinner yet...

Like a PP said, boy are the portions small:rotfl2: I'm a bit hungry today but I'll just go to bed and forget about it! My daughter keeps nagging me about eating everything ~~ I shouldn't have let her read the materials:rotfl:

We walked for 30 minutes yesterday but forgot to today. How do you forget to exercise you ask? I have no idea. We talked about it when she got off the bus and at 6 pm decided we'd have dinner first and at 9 pm went OOPS!!

Tomorrow, we'll double-time (if we don't forget, lol). Good luck everyone!

Yeah, I've been on NS for 2 weeks now, and have weeded out all of the food that I can't eat! The parmesan pasta with broccoli was horrible. I can't do the brownies or the microwavable chocolate cake. The chocolate chip scone was bad. However, I do love the hearty beef stew, cheesy mashed potatoes, fudge graham bars, chicken and dumplings, pizzas and nutrifrosted cereal. The pizzas are EXCELLENT in my opinion. The lunches turn my stomach. That fish oil takes some getting used to. I had HORRIBLE migraines for the first week, but that has gotten better. I am losing weight, and my body is realizing that I don't need 2 pounds of food to be full. I'm going to stick with it for a few more weeks, and then try it on my own with portion control and lots of vegetables. I have the ground rules now to follow, so it should be okay!

I just finished day #6 and it's not getting much better. On the upside, I'm no longer hungry:thumbsup2 But, I don't know that I'm eating enough because I throw at least 1/2 of the prepared food away. I thought dinner tonight couldn't go wrong, mac & cheese. WTH do they put in it to make it taste so bad:confused3 I'm finding all the bars, breakfast and lunch to be good and most of the desserts (not the chocolate cake though, yuck!). It's the boxed, prepared food that isn't edible. I'll finish up the month because I already paid but after that I'm not sure I can keep it up. I don't think it's healthy to eat so little protein and carbs when I don't eat their prepackaged foods so...

I bought Melba Toast and lunch tomorrow will be the chicken w/mayo (already in a foil bag) spread on Melba Toast -- I'm almost regretting having to eat it already. BTW, SIL is also doing it and had the chicken patty the other night, it didn't even resemble chicken, what's with that?

I'm going to start researching Jenny Craig, supposedly their food is much better and I've got an offer for 1/2 price, maybe I'll try that the second month. Stay tuned and I'll let everyone know what I lost on Tuesday (the one week mark). Yes, I have cheated ~~ three glasses of chardonnay on Friday and another glass today while watching the football game.
