We are planning our first Walt Disney trip in Dec a family of 4 and was thinking of staying in the cabins. has anyone stayed there? whats it like? and how is the pricing?
We absolutely love the cabins! We'll be going back to FW in just 2 days and of course staying in one. We love them because of the amount of room they give our family, the ability to spread out and even separate from each other (kids in bedroom either asleep or playing, while DH and I watch TV). Also, the privacy from your neighbors is really nice (i.e. no one running down the hall waking you up late at night). The full kitchen can be a real money saver even if you don't cook real meals - just having a fridge full of waters, cokes, beer and wine saves a bunch, plus being able to have a good breakfast in the morning saves time and money. And of course, just being at FW is wonderful. Read around on the camping boards for lots of great information about FW.
Thanks everyone this has been helpful. my fiance and I are hoping to be able to schudule a Dec wedding down there. We both have a daughter and we like camping as well so the idea of the cabins seemed perfect for us. how close is the bus stop? is it in walking distance or do you really need to rent like a golf cart? and how expansive is the golf carts?

You can definitely walk, if you have room and are driving, bikes are good. The Golf Cart is fun and transportation but you can do without it. They are close to $60.00 a day.
We are not driving but flying cause after spending a week there we will be flying to Australia for another week. I thought I saw somewhere where they had bike rentals? If so we'd like to rent bikes for the kids while were there.
Not sure what the price of a couple of bikes cost to rent for a day,,BUT, at one time not too long ago you could rent a golf cart for the same price as renting a couple bikes per day.
Thanks for the info not sure how i'm going to handle the plane ride as I've never rode in a plane and I'm afraid of heights and the trip to Australia is 18hrs. I need help lol

That's why they have all of those cocktail lounges in airports......I suggest
about four Jim Beams...on the rocks. You can always ask for more "Medication"
after departure, should the need arise.
By the way screaming WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE while the plane is on takeoff roll is considered, by some,
to be in poor taste...so just do what I do and bite the seatback in front of you.
