We are thinking of bringing my grandmother with us on our trip in October. She is in a wheelchair now due to a stroke and we'll need a cabin with wheelchair accessability. If anyone has stayed in one before, please explain if you could the set-up. We have stayed in a regular cabin many times so I wondered what the differences are.

Thanks much in advance!

We were checked into a handicap access cabin last Aug by mistake and although we were only in it for a few minutes I did check out the bathroom, which is one big tiled room with a drain in the middle of the floor for the shower. The kitchen area was wider than a regular cabin. And there is a wheel chair ramp going into the cabin. I didn't notice anything different in the bedroom. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for your reply. I'm going to call and reserve one. I've been waiting for AP or Fl. resident rates for October but so far, nothing. I don't want to take a chance of all the handicap cabins being gone.

thanks again!
