Has anyone stayed in 8036?

I was given this stateroom when booking with DVC. I was wondering if this will be noisy because it is underneath a band and stage area? If I want to change can I, or does member services just get to pick for you?

I've stayed right next door in the Cat. 3, 8034. And yes, I'm sorry to say, when a band is playing on the Goofy Pool Stage (not too often, but they do on deck party nights) it IS loud. It's not too bad at other times, although you do hear footsteps above during the day and chairs being moved. I would ask Member Services if there is a Cat. 4 further forward (under the spa would be good) or further aft.

someone posted a while back complaining about noise in the cat 3 that's right next to your room...
but she said it was only noisy on one night and only until about midnight...if it were me, i wouldn't be in bed anyway at that time...
on the positive side, that room is midship which is nice....and very close to the elevator, which is also nice....
if you're really concerned maybe try calling them and asking for 8028....which is on the other side of the walt disney suite and possibly quieter...

but as i said, the woman who posted said it was only noisy on one night until midnight...but another woman who responded said she hadn't been bothered by any noise....

That was ME, disneyholic!

And yes, we went to bed at 11:30 on the deck party night, but only because I have an 8-year-old and we had to be up at 6:30 the next morning for the immigration check in St. Thomas and a shore excursion. It was not a pretty sight the next morning trying to get everyone out of bed and where they needed to be.

As I said above, I'm sure there are quieter places on Deck 8, and I'd try to avoid the whole Goofy Pool area if possible.

oh.....
well, i'll be in one of those cat 3 rooms under the stage....
i checked when you posted the last time....
i'm worried about the noise, but on the other hand, those cat 3's are supposed to be nice because of the larger verandah....
so....it's a trade-off i guess....and we're not going to be getting up early i don't think...i suspect my kids will straggle into bed in the middle of the night sometime....or else they'll collapse in the early evening and no noise will phase them anyway...

maybe i'll still be upgraded.....hope springs eternal...
