Has anyone stayed at YC recently and found the rooms to be tired?

We arrive the first weekend in January. The renovation notice was posted on the booking page when we booked. From what I know, it is interior (rooms only.)

I am tempted to switch to Beach Club, but we were really hoping for a balcony. That said, those BC rooms look gorgeous. I would rather not be in a room that feels run down because it is literally weeks away from getting refurbed.

Can anyone with a recent stay confirm that the rooms still look decent at YC?

Nevermind, Tripadvisor reviews sound good. I'm so torn! I have never been drawn to the Epcot resorts, but now I am obsessed and I want to stay in all of them right now.

I was there the 2nd week in Sept. while it is in need of love, I didn't find anything horrible. I saw some wallpaper in the hallway that the corner was coming unattached and the hallway carpets had a few stains but my room was great. Here are a couple of pictures, not good ones because I was actually taking pictures of the views.

No need to change the BOG but we decided to head down tomorrow instead of today. When we decided , still wasn't sure about parks neigh open today. But fine with decision even though they are open .

Let me know if anyone has any questions I can try and answer while there. We are at BC - eating at Yachtsman tomorrow night and have a breakfast planned for Captains Grill one morning. Will probably hit Crew Cup at some point (went last trip twice - we really like it )

Will try to post pics and give some live updates.

Your concern is one that is shared by others who have stays next year at the Yacht Club. There is a trip report/review section (Post 16) on the Yacht & Beach Club FAQ thread and I have included a section that deals specifically with the comments about the condition of the YC from recent guests. Click on the link in my signature and either click on the link for Post 16 or scroll down.

General opinion is as lovestodive describes above. Nothing horrid, but could use an update.
