Has anyone stayed at Holiday Inn express Universal

I was wondering if anyone here stayed at the Holiday Inn Express International Dr before. If so can you tell me if what you thought of it. I just threw together a quick trip yesterday for the end of July and first week of August for US/IOA and SeaWorld.

I stayed there in Feb 03 with my family. I was hoping it was going to be a newer building (most holiday inn ex are). but this was obviously an old 'something'. the rooms were alright, the free breakfast was lacking. I did not use the pool. High point, the manager gave us coupons for bennigans across the street. I would stay there again if I had to, but would recommend staying elsewhere.

As much as people talk about it on this board, staying on site can not be beat with FOTL access.

We have since stayed the Portofino and loved it. We will never go back.

www.avistahotels.com or www.hotelmartusa.com the holiday inn at 8214 Universal blvd is on both of them. and I do believe you can book it on www.priorityclub.com this is holidayinns own website and you can book entertainment card rate on line there. and check out what different holiday inns look like

I have stayed at the holiday inn express twice, and will be there again this august. i think it is a good hotel, and the free breakfast is more than ample. there is free transportation to disney theme parks. and universal is only a few minutes walk away. the staff are realy helpfull. all round its a good place to stay.
