Has anyone stayed at Hilton OceanFront Hotel or Doubletree Hotel in Cocoa Beach?

I would love some opinions on these two. I like the looks of the Hilton but am kind of wondering why it is so cheap. We will be there on Thanksgiving Day 2003.

I am staying at the Hilton the night before our cruise 2/15. What rate were you quoted? We are paying $115 including tax. After reading this board, the radisson seems like the place to stay. I already prepaid with Expedia. This website has info about Hilton & other hotels-www.dcltribute.com
Good luck!

Will be at the Hilton Feb 12-13 (Priceline $40).

Have never stayed there before. Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cocoa Beach last time.

Have heard mixed reviews on the Hilton. We'll have to see...

They're both nice, but there's nothing special about them. Either is worthwhile if you can find a good rate, but I wouldn't pay a premium to stay at either property.

the hilton was OK but I wouldn't pay $115. we paid $95 and had a room on the club level which included a continental breakfast in the am. The real downfall here is the TINY! pool and that there is nowhere to get something quick and cheap to eat. they only have one sit-down restaurant which is pretty pricey. they have a nice walkway to the beach and a healthclub. I would keep looking for a beter rate. try hotelkingdom.com or hoteldiscounts.com.

Okay, you guys are talking me out of the Hilton really quick. Actually, $115 does sound high. I was quoted $76 on expedia for Thanksgiving and the day after. Maybe I will look into the Radisson. I wonder if any of the hotels will have a Thanksgiving Dinner?

Is the Radisson everyone mentioned actually listed as at Cape Canaveral? Is Cape Canaveral far from Cocoa Beach?

Hi. We booked the Hilton through Hotwire last August and paid $36.00 per night! I agree with most of previous posts about the Hilton (nothing special, tiny pool), however, it was definitely worth $36.00 per night. The rooms were modern and clean and I would book there again through Hotwire for such a low rate.:D

The Radisson is in Cape Canaveral. Cape Canaveral is right before you get to Cocoa Beach.

I stayed at the Radisson Jan.8 We had the suite with two king beds. We paid $99 plus tax.

For those of you going down 2/12 - 2/15, that is Speedweeks in Daytona, and with the hotel rates there (ouch!!!!) you may see an increase just based on the extra traffic of the hundred thousand plus race fans coming to the area.

So it may be difficult to compare rate for the same hotels, but other weeks.

Have a good trip.

We stayed at the Radisson last week and I was disappointed. The place really wasn't all that nice at all, it was a typical motel with a nice pool area. We booked a suite, and the hotel told me we'd have the 2 king & sleeper combination (5 people) but at check-in they gave us the 1 king & sleeper combo and said that they didn't have any 2 king suites and couldn't do anything about it (no rollaway or anything). The suite was small, and the only nice thing about it was the jacuzzi.

2 thumbs up Stayed her before our CL last week. Great amenities. Micro, refridge and very clean place, Nice room, service and restaurants!! Try it... You will Like it!!! Price line 70$

The cookies were great. Also FYI each room has a balcony overlooking the OCEAN. THey have a great happy hour in the evenings and are RIGHT in the beach and it was nice to take a very early morning stroll on the beach.
The Doubletree Ocean side Cocoa Beach was a great place to spend a few days.... ( when the weather warms up):jester:
