Has anyone stayed at DD Hilton recently?

We are going to DD Hilton for the President's Day weekend. We reserved the hotel via Priceline.

When I called the hotel last night, I was told that I can pay $ to get upgraded to the tower room - Club Level and pay addiitional for a suite.

I am thinking about paying the $ to get a suite at the club level. It seems that it will be $80 per night to do such an upgrade, if there is availability. I am also HHornor member.

How was your stay at DD Hilton? Any upgrades? Would you mind sharing how much you paid for an upgrade, if any?

No upgrades for me, sorry! HHonors Gold, got a Club level room, but not a king like I wanted. No one offered a cash upgrade & I didn't think to ask! What kind of room can you get for $80? I'd say it's not worth it for a regular club level room, because the food is nice, but nothing special. But if that gets you a big suite, it's worth looking into.

My room was also priceline, $55. They had no problem with my gold status.

I was told for $40, I can get a junior suite, and then for another $40, I can get a tower room.

We have 3 adults and 2 little kids. So I figured I am willing to pay the extra to do the upgrade. The junior suite is supposed to have a pull out sofa.

$55 is a great pice, I am paying $70/night for the room. I will see if they can upgrade up to club level for free and then just pay the $40 for a suite.

I stayed there on the 18th. I paid $60 plus tax and fees through Priceline. We didn't get there until about 9:30pm and we checked out about 9:30am. I thought it was a nice hotel and the location was great. They had a really good snack shop. All of the employees were very nice. The room was pretty small but we had a corner standard room so I don't know if that made a difference. I didn't ask for any upgrades because we were going to be in and out.
