Trying to find some nice accomodation for next August, and like the look of Cypress Pointe, I believe it has had a recent refurbishment.

Any info and advice good., bad or indifferent would be much appreicated.

Hi

Yes we have stayed at Cypress Pointe, its a great place to stay.

Have a look at my pictures of the condo that we stayed in Here
We have only stayed in Phase 1 of the complex, not the Grand Villa's so can't comment on those.
It's in a great location, very easy to get to all the Disney parks and also Universal.

Great phopto`s thanks. Did you stay in a 2 or 3 bed one. We are also looking at phase 1, especially because of the refurbs.

Can you tell me about `housekeeping` appreciate it is a self catering holiday but do they change the bedding and towels or are you expected to wash and change them yourself?

How long did it take you to get to the parks and were they easy to find? we stayed at Vistana Village on bottom of I Drive and got lost so many times especially on the way home from WDW.

I believe you can walk out at night to restaurants, that will be a big bonus. Last time we had to drive to get anywhere, and sometimes its nice to have a little walk and hubby can have a beer rather than a coke.

If you had a 2 bedded apt, how big was the second bedroom, its only for our daughter but don`t want her shoved away in a little box room. Would rather book a 3 bedded one.

Any more advice and info would be great. Thanks

Hi

I have stayed in a 2 and 3 bedroomed condo, the studio in the link I gave you is the extra bedroom in a 3 bdr unit. The 2nd bedroom is fine, my DD 13 had no problems with it.
We have never had 'housekeeping', we have always just washed ourselves. I like it that way, then I know its been done.
Cypress Pointe is in located in Lake Buena Vista, not that far from Downtown Disney and the Crossroads area. There are a few places around that you could walk to, no problems.
We never timed oursleves going to the parks, so this will be a guesstimate of around 15-20 mins.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks squitty, for the advice.

Did you find that they gave you quite a few spare towels and sheets, surely it wasn`t just one set that you had to keep washing all the time. (I`ve read that in a villa you get spare sets!) But confusing as we have been in hotels and not had to worry about it, even when we stayed in Vistana Village we had housekeeping every day (it was booked thru Virgin).

No problems.

Yes there was plenty of 'spares'. I am sure if you happend to run out of anything they would be only too happy to get you some more.
