I read mix reviews about it. We are going in August. We got five nights for free and are paying a very low rate for the 6th night. We got a luxery room. I was just wondering If anyone can tell me if it is nice lets say compared to Harrahs, MGM or Treasure Island? We have stayed at those places before.
I hope it is nice. Then again, its not like you spend a lot of time in the room anyway. Any info. would be great.

Well heck, you can't beat five nights free and a low rate for the 6th night...I'd stay there for that...

hi there! you can't beat FREE!!! but we really didn't like it there at all!!!! i was there on business and my company at the time put us up there and it was just awful. Staff was great, but rooms were old (although very big on the club level) and stuff just seemed dingy even though it was clean. it's in a great location, but we would never stay there again.

Our feelings about this hotel could be very biased though since we usually stay at Mandalay Bay and they are totally different :)

Never stayed at Bally's but have at TI. Last year we went through the casino to use the monorail. To me TI was much nicer than Bally's just by the looks of the casino. But hey you get 5 nights free?? I'd go with low expectations and be surprised. As long as it's clean and bug free I'd be happy. I've stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton 2 years running(conference) and last year that place was an absolute dive!! Rooms not getting cleaned till late if at all. Having to call security because the people upstairs were having a STOMP audition (the insulation between floors must be atrocious). The first year we checked into our room and it hadn't even been cleaned. They said they renovated it wo we're trying it again-hopefully this will be the last year for this conference. Las Vegas isn't the best place for a Fitness conference. Have fun-we had a petite suite at the TI and it was just lovely.

I stayed there back when it was the MGM. Years and years ago. I wouldnt stay there now. I go to vegas all the time, and it is a strech to get me stay at Harrahs. Sorry I am a roomie; And I spend enough time in my room to get ready I want my room to be nice.

I've never stayed there but the location is great! We ate at the Big Kitchen buffet there during our last trip and were pleasantly surprised. For five free nights I would definately go for it.

I recently had a free stay at the Aladdin and I was dreading it because of the horror stories I've heard. We ended up with a beautiful strip-view room and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay :)

Thanks for posting the website of reviews. I will check it out.
Thanks for everyones opinions.
We did LOVE Treasure Island, liked MGM but boy was that big. Harrahs we really loved.

I was just there in January for a work conference. The conference was actually at Caesar's, but by time my boss got around to booking our rooms Caesar's was full and we were given a room at Bally's. The rooms are dated but large and clean. The bed was too firm for my tastes but Westin is the only hotel chain to have beds that I actually like. My DH and I had a nice strip view of the Bellagio fountains. I did hear that the rooms in the other tower had newer decor but they did not have the view. Bally's is connected to the Paris Hotel by a shop lined walkway. There are a couple of restaurants there including a pastry shop and a crepe shop. My DH and I split a bananas fosters crepe there and it was very good. Much better than the "crepes" at Epcot.

I am so happy to hear about the bananas foster crepe, that is my absolute favorite! Okay, now i'm hungry!!!!!!!!!

I've stayed at TI, Flamingo and Bally's. I loved the Flamingo's pool, but our corner room at TI was nicer. Bally's room was the biggest, but I doubt I would pay to stay there again. It was a hike to get to our room, from the strip, and the pool and monorail station also were pretty far.

If I were given five free nights, though, I would gladly accept!

Have a great time!

DH and I stayed there a couple of summers ago and loved it! We were supposed to get a strip view suite but when we arrived (some ungodly hour like 3am) they did not have one. So for the first night, we got a two story suite, but without a strip view.

By morning we were in the Celebrity Suite, that I swear was bigger than my first house! Double doors, 2 baths, steam room, jacuzzi, huge kitchen, 3 TV's, about 6 sofas, and the best strip view in the world.... Paris on the side and the fountains of Bellagio ahead.

We love the steak house. Had a great time. The room was fabulous. I have nothing bad to say about the place at all. Location was the BEST! Right in the middle of everything!

Have fun!

Bally's is kind of a craphole, but it is in an EXCELLENT location, right in the middle of all the action. I would stay there just for that reason alone! And it has monorail access too! Although, I"m not sure if those are running right now. I live in Vegas and don't go to the strip much anymore. Maybe someone else knows.

Did you pay for a suite, or were you upgraded? Boy that sounds like it was beautiful.

Monorails were back up and running when I was there last month. I was attending a conference at the convention center - and highly recommend the Marriott Suites that is walkable from the venue (about 2 blocks). Much nicer than the Hilton that is next door.

We were upgraded!! Paid $70 a night for it! (not for the upgrade, this was the total room cost!!) It was so so special! Was our anniversary and our first trip without kids!

I stayed at Bally's 3 years ago with a friend and we had a blast. our room overlooked the roof of the Paris hotel and they have concerts on the roof at night so we got to see Edwin McCain for free. So cool. Plus the Bellagio fountains were right outside the window and they go off every 20 minutes or so to very loud music. Vegas in itself is very surreal and larger than life so having your hotel be right in the middle of it is so great. The location of Bally's was ideal. It wasn't the fanciest of the hotels that I've stayed in, but you're only there to sleep. Enjoy, have a blast, and don't go broke!!

You should suprise DH and take him there for your annerversary. You can get inexpensive rooms on the strip. Theres no place like Vegas.

He wouldn't consider that a surprise for him.:lmao: One of these days we will get there. Probably when the kids are older.
I can wait. Vegas will be waiting for me. I just hope Barry Manilow is still there.:rotfl:
