The pink is awesome!

I think Vera's popularity depends on where you live.

Vera around here is popular with the well to do (middle-aged) and professionals. My fellow educators, from the Principal down and including nursing, teachers and aides all seem to have Vera Purses (and Thirty One Totes)!

Vera Bradley is basically unheard if here in Canada. I discovered it on a parenting message board. My friends all really dislike my bags lol. They are defiantly not for everyone. My friends would rather pay $300.00 for a plain Coach bag, I would rather spend $100.00 on a colorful Vera bag.

Thanks! I'm kind of over Vera for purses, but I think a duffle would be great as a carry on (small duffle) for our upcoming trip and general travel. I could probably be sold on a wallet, too, if they make the kind I use.

I saw them. I'm a huge Vera fan and at first I was very meh about them buy now I'm planning to get one before my trip! I like the black one best, but I am going in spring. I'm planning on getting the back pack. I had that style for my senior trip 5 years ago and it was really great to carry around.

I'm a big Vera fan and have many, many, many of her bags (like an entire closet full) I was one of the ones waiting outside the DTD store Sept 21st for the first release. I bought a duffle, tote, phone wristlet, and mini hipster in the black print and then another mini hipster and the large cosmetic in the pink print. They were honoring the AP and Disney Visa discounts (don't know about DVC). I love them and plan on using the duffel and tote for my carryons when we go back in Dec.

I would not purchase one online though. The day they were released they had all the bags on a huge table with another table in front. The CMs were standing between the two tables and guests could only approach the first table with a marked list of what they wanted. The CMs took the marked flyer and put the bags in a shopping basket. The first pink mini hipster I was given had only one Mickey/Minnie. It was on the front flap and had their heads cut off. There were no other Mickey/Minnies anywhere on the bag. I didn't notice it until a little while later when I was eating breakfast at WG Puck Express. I took it back and the CM was happy to look for another one that had better placement of the characters. If I had gotten home with the first one, I would not have been happy. No way would I order one online. I would want to check character placement (or at least make sure I got one that didn't have their heads cut off and had more than one set of characters.

Are they cute? I'm sure they are more than I want to spend (I usually only shop the clearance Vera stuff) but I think I want to splurge on this for our upcoming trip (and want it before we get there).

Just wondering anyone's opinions of it.

I bought myself the pink tote and pink makeup bag because I needed something for just one change of clothes and makeup and maybe a kindle, book, etc. A friend had me pick up the black tote and id holder. After seeing them in person, I personally thought the duffel bags were too large for what I wanted. They were more like weekend trips, carryon bags, etc. I used my tote as one of my carryons along with my suitcase carryon when I returned from WDW. DD has already borrowed it once for a step competition she was in and needed to carry two outfits and makeup and hair stuff. I may break down and get her one also.

If I were to get the hipster, I'd get black just because it goes with more things. I love the pink, but it is very pink and would be hard to match.

I read there is a third design coming out in December that also looks nice. I think it was a blue.

As you know DTD ran out of quite a few things the first few days. Last week, the store at MK on the right side with the jewelry got in a shipment and people didn't know yet. Mouse Gear is getting them next week I think is what they said. They are getting them a little at a time.

I was there at Downtown Disney on Sat. Sept. 20 and got there about 10:00 am and they had plenty of bags, but most were picked over (meaning you had to look for the bags with the best Mickey placement). Some didn't have any Mickey's on the front. For this reason, I wouldn't order them online either. I got the black Disney hipster. I usually buy my Vera 50-60% off online, but I did pay almost full price for this hipster. I got 10% off as an annual pass holder. I love VB & Disney so it's a win-win for me. I'll be back at Disney at Thanksgiving so, of course, the hipster is my new park bag.

On my tote I have lots if Mickey's, but I like the blue Mickey heads even better and made sure my tote had lots of those
