Hi everyone,
We are from Pittsburgh, home of the Super Bowl Champions, the Steelers! I would like to get a pair of gold Mickey ears, like Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward wore in the parade after the Super Bowl. Anyone know if these are even available?

Thanks in advance for any info. :thumbsup2

I think I read that those were just being handed out on that day. You might check ebay.

Do you mean the gold 50th anniversary mickey ears? Because if you mean those...you can buy them. Not sure from where...look at ebay, or call Disney and order some. I have some, and I love 'em!!! :cool1:

:earsboy: They are selling them in the parks for the 50th celebration.

i have a pair from my trip in August. they were selling them for the 50th Anniversary.

I just looked at the link, are they that price in the parks also? :scared1:

No, laughingplace really raises their prices. My DH and I both have these ears.. they were certainly under $20, but I sadly don't remember exactly how much. You can call WDW merchandising directly to order them if you like.

ETA: I just went back and checked what we paid. They are about $11.50 each. :goodvibes

FYI, It's like $9 for the ears, hen something like an additional $5 and up to have a name embroidered on them. We had to battle the crowd during the super soap parade to pick ours up. Good thing was we got to see soap stars during the wait. :)

My sister in law got a pair of the 50th anniversary ears at the cart near the Dumbo in the MK, where they always sell ears.

The Gold ears are $11.50 for the adult size and $10.50 for a child size. There is a place in the MK and one in MGM that will embroider them for $2 per hat. This is the loose, loopy embroidery in yellow. The fine embroidery can be done at Days Of Christmas at DTD and at Celebrity 5&10 at MGM. The fine embroidery is $7 per hat. You can pick your font and thread color.

There will always be somewhat of a markup if you buy in advance from a private company. They have to cover their cost to go purchase the ears and take them to be embroidered. It really comes down to cost vs. convenience. If you want the ears prior to or when you arrive at WDW, it will cost a little more. If that doesn't matter, it is much cheaper to wait and get it done yourself.

If you want to order a pair w/o the name, call WDW merchandise guest services at 407-363-6200. You can always have the ears embroidered at the shops Feralpeg mentioned when you come down.

I'd like to add that if you're going soon, the question won't be, "Where can I find them?" but rather, "Where can I not?" They have them all over the place.

We got some at Disneyland in June and the hat shop on Main St. embroidered them for free. Does WDW not have a free embroidery place? I was going to get some when we go in April.

If you take your ears and your receipts to Le Chapeau on Main St. in MK they will stitch your name on for free. :) Unless that has changed recently.
