has anyone seen the crowds at grad night?

We will be there on grad night. Not by choice, but we have had our ADR's for 5 months and it is too late to change now. My question is when does it start to get busy and is there a certain "land" that we should do first. We were going to do Fantasyland then Frontierland but should we do Tomorrowland instead?

I've never noticed any huge crowd problems during the days on Grad Nights :sunny: Because the MK closes at 7pm those days, and then doesn't reopen for Grad Night until 11pm (and then is only open for Grads with special tickets), I think maybe all the kids are busy getting ready to "par-tay" all day before heading out that night instead of going during the day :teeth:

My understanding is that the kids can only travel with their group and arrive on busses together with their chaperones. You will not be allowed in the park that night with the students---it is a special event. I believe Magic Kingdom closes at 5PM on those Grad nights so if you visit MK during the day you will want a park hopper ticket so you can go somewhere else when they close.

The schedule says 7 so we are going to Spectomatic. I just notice on Touringplans.com it mentions that it should be avoided. I was thinking people may not want to go because they would have to park hop like us!

I also planned a trip not knowing about the grad nights.... the only thing I am upset about is that Wishes will not be sched for my whole trip  I think the crowds will be managable!!

MK shouldn't be affected by grad night crowds because like others have said it closes at 7pm on those nights and the actual grad night event is later.

Also just a reminder that there will be no spectro or wishes on those nights that it closes at 7pm for grad nights.

It's my understanding that the grad nights don't have much affect on crowds. The seniors are only supposed to come after the park is closed and the regular guests have left. I wouldn't worry about it! :goodvibes Maybe the park will be slow that day becasue no one else will want to go to it? Or maybe that is wishful thinking. :confused3

I'm sorry, not sptctromatic, I mean to say Fantasmic. We are going from MK to MGM instead of Wishes.

We wnet 2 years ago on a grad night and didn't notice a big diff. from the other days. If anything the morning was a ghost town.

That is what I like to hear! :thumbsup2 There has to be some kind of payoff for missing Wishes!
